It’s nearly time!

Time to go Football crazy…. We have limited edition “Kong” knot footballers for sale, celebrating Kong’s 50th Anniversary and lots of football toys for either the little ones or the great big dogs.

Also, we are running a small competition for all U11s who go to school in Ware.

Who do you think is going to win the World Cup 2026?

Draw us a flag of the country you think will win and you can win the Official FIFA World Cup football and football net in our shop window.

So draw or paint your flag, no bigger than 21 cm x 15 cm (A5 size) before the groups section has finished in the competition, for a chance to win.

All entries will be shown in the window or will hang inside the shop. Please bring your flags into the shop whilst we are open, so we can make sure we have your correct details.

This competition is for primary school children in the Ware area only.
We will only accept one flag per child.
The winner will be picked out from all the entries who drew the Winning Team’s flag.
Should no one enter the correct winning flag, all entries will go into the hat and AJ will pick the name to win.
AJ’s decision is final.

Morning All

Thank you to all those people who were concerned about the shop this week.

I just wanted to reassure all our customers that AJ’s Pet Store is not closing down far from it…… We were on holiday for a few days, that’s all.

We are BACK and normal trading resumes today and next week as usual.

Just to let you all know our revised opening hours for this coming Easter Weekend.

We are open tomorrow, THURSDAY - 9.30 am - 1.30 pm
FRIDAY - 9.30 am to 2.30 pm
SATURDAY - 9.00 am to 4.00 pm

Closed: Sunday
Closed: Monday

Reopen normal hours on Tuesday…

So if you are going away for a few days and have forgotten to buy holiday block fish food or indeed hay for the rabbits and guinea pigs, then you dont need to travel far to get your last minutes pet essentials.

We still have just a few dog Easter Eggs left, sorry Cat has sold out.

Hello Spring!

March is always a very busy time for nature and humans alike. For those who have a pond in their garden, it’s a time to remove frogs born if necessary and to clean the pond. We have all the treatments you need for this time of year and plenty of barley Straw for getting rid of green water. Pop in store and we will help you…

However it’s not just our gardens that need help, all those creatures that hibernate wake up and need tending to as well; we stock complete tortoise food and bedding etc, hay, foods as well as shampoo for our pets.

Then there’s the birds, busy making themselves ready for chicks; and Easter will be upon us soon too. We have Easter eggs for dogs and cats in store.

Welcome to the festive season at AJ’s Pet Store!

We have a superb range of gifts for your gorgeous pets and for those people who just love animals. We are fully stocked in all shapes and sizes of wild bird feeders; plus a lovely range of quality, yet affordable seeds to fill the feeders….

Then there are the dog toys that AJ’s are famous for along with the cones full with healthy treats. We do still have a few advent calendars for cats and dogs, but not many..
