We knew you'd be 'the one' O'Donnell's School for Dogs 👌

Out early to beat the heat for this morning's 121, with beautiful 10 year old rescue Bentley.

His new owner's wanted some guidance around settling him in. We looked at enabling him to give consent for handling, safe interactions with other dogs and what might help him out at home as a senior dog.

Did you know it takes at least 3 months for a rescue dog to settle in and really start being themselves?

Bentley is a superstar and took a particular liking to my toys!

She's one of my more anxious pups, which makes it all the more special when she trusts me enough to sit close and gently take treats from my hand during a home visit. My heart melts every time 💛

I’ve just completed a brilliant webinar course on brachycephalic cats and dogs, with Animal Love Pet First Aid. I highly recommend it to anyone working with or caring for our flat faced friends. The course offers an in depth look at various aspects of their health and wellbeing, including the challenges they face in warmer weather due to respiratory issues like BOAS (Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome), common eye problems, and practical strategies for ongoing care and management. I got a lot out of learning more. It was very interesting 🐾🐱🐶

I have to confess, I got an iitty, bitty bit lost in my favourite woodland today. I got to the point of oh, s**t! When, by pure coincidence, my son in law just happened to be driving by with the Collies and saw my car parked by the side of the road and texted me. From there ensued a rescue mission of map pin dropping📍and me calling out. Then, in the distance, I see a dufus red Collie, cantering toward me wolf howling and my lovely son in law with a big smile on his face 😁 Never have I been more pleased to see him 🙏😭 thanks Si ☺️ 🥰
