๐ŸถMeet the Team's Pets Friday!!๐Ÿถ

Today we are introducing our Nurse Luke's two Jack Russells, Narla (11yrs brown and white) and Lilo (3yrs)

Likes:

๐ŸถWalking
๐ŸถEating
๐ŸถPlaying tug of war
๐ŸถEach Other! - as you can see these two are inseparable! on the other hand Narla is very unsociable to any other dog, but Lilo loves everyone (including horses, cats, goats) and everyone's owners!

Dislikes:

๐ŸถVisiting the vets
๐ŸถBath time
๐ŸถHaving their tea even 5mins late!
๐ŸถBeing apart

๐ŸšจImportant Update!๐Ÿšจ

Please be aware our delivery dates have now changed, we now receive deliveries on a Monday and Wednesday (this has been changed by our supplier not us) this means you may need order your pet's medication a little earlier.
If you run out of meds on a Wednesday and don't inform us before they run out you could have to wait till the next week to get them.

Also please be aware, August Bank holiday Monday is on 31st, this will mean there is no delivery on this day, so please order meds well in advance.

We had a female, seal point cross cat handed in to us yesterday. She is quite an elderly lady and was found in the Ladock area. She is microchipped but the owners details are unfortunately not up to date. Please contact us if you think she may be yours, Tel number 01872 273408

You may of seen some practices doing meet the team Thursdays, but here at Highertown we like to be a little different (and because most of the team are camera shy) so we will be doing ๐Œ๐ž๐ž๐ญ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐“๐ž๐š๐ฆ'๐ฌ ๐๐ž๐ญ๐ฌ....๐จ๐ง ๐š ๐…๐ซ๐ข๐๐š๐ฒ

And to kick things off we start at the top, with our Practice manager, Mandy's ๐‡๐ž๐ซ๐›๐ข๐ž!

Herbie is a 2yr old Border Terrier x Cocker, he is a regular office companion here at the practice, keeping a watchful eye on all the goings on. (and occasionally sneaking out to greet our visitors)

โ–Helping his Mum with the horses.
โ–Rolling in Fox poo.
โ–Coming to work with his Mum.
โ–Zoomies after bath time

โ–Having a bath (post poo rolling)
โ–The Cat

We have had a non microchipped, neutered Tabby and white Male cat handed into the practice this morning.

Is it too hot for your dog?

It is likely way too hot to walk your dog during the day at the moment, so we advise walking your dog early morning around 6am or late at night.

Other ideas on keeping your pets cool during this heat...

๐ŸŒž Cooling mats and bandanas
๐ŸŒž Plenty of cold drinking water
๐ŸŒž Keeping your pets indoors or in shaded parts of the garden
๐ŸŒž Frozen treats
๐ŸŒž Avoiding unnecessary car trips - this includes trips to the vets, things like routine vaccinations and claw clipping can often wait a few days.

Please still bring your pets to us if they need immediate attention or are poorly, we are always here for advice, so if you are unsure please give us a call 01872 273408.
