Our in-house lab offers same day results on a wide range of blood tests as well as allowing us to carry out urine testing and basic microscopy. This means that your pet's illness can be diagnosed and treated rapidly, giving them the best possible chance of a fast and full recovery. At Springwell Veterinary Surgery we have a video endoscopic suite in which we can perform investigative and curative procedures. Endoscopy enables us to perform the following procedures:

Meet Ted 🐾💙

12 year old Ted was brought in to us by his Labrananny for a second opinion on a large lipoma (fatty lump). Can you spot it in the first photos?? 👀

The lump was causing mobility issues for Ted and so surgical removal was discussed, including the risks at his age and the possibility that we may only be able to debulk the lump.

The 3.5kg (!!) lipoma was removed successfully and Ted has now been fully signed off with a new lease of life 🥳

Meet A B 🐾💙

This lovely 15 year old boy was brought in to us a couple of months ago after returning home to his owner with a bloody mouth. It was soon evident he had fractured his lower jaw and canine, most probably from being hit by a car.

A wire was placed in his jaw under general anaesthesia to stabilise the fracture, and a feeding tube also placed to allow us to feed him while his jaw recovered. He surprised us all and finished a whole bowl of food by himself only 18 hours after the wire was placed!

A B was recently back with us to have the wire removed and happily tucked in to some food that very same day. What a trooper! 🌟
