No matter what type of pet you have, it is always important to have a qualified and caring vet that you can entrust with their care. Healthcare can pose a bit more of a problem when keeping exotic pets as not all vets are familiar with unusual species. We have our own Exotics Veterinary Surgeon. Anne McLoughlin BVSc CertZooMed MRCVS is our qualified zoological vet with over 20 years of experience in caring for and treating exotic species, either first-opinion or referred from other vets. At Aston Clinton Cattery, we have created a peaceful sanctuary for your feline friends, giving you the peace of mind you deserve whilst you're away from home. The cattery has been established for over 50 years. When it changed hands in 2004 the site underwent a very high standard of renovation work to become a very popular and welcoming cattery as well as a veterinary centre and grooming parlour. 🐱🐶DUE TO INCREASED BOOKINGS IN OUR KENNELS AND CATTERY WE NOW HAVE 2 PERMANENT VACANCIES 🐶🐱
We are looking for 2 permanent Kennel & Cattery Assistant to work in our busy boarding kennels on a 4 day on 4 day off rolling rota, 8am - 6pm.
This role would suit a caring, hard working and approachable person. A good working knowledge of dogs and cats is desirable but not essential as full training will be given.
We have our own on-site Veterinary Centre where vets can assist with advice and help. The wellbeing and safety of the pets in our care is paramount and the successful applicant will understand the importance of this.

Aston Clinton Veterinary Centre requires a bubbly, friendly, caring person to join our reception/office team. Good empathetic communication skills are essential. The ideal candidate will have an excellent work ethic and a friendly, understanding attitude towards clients as client interaction is key.
Greeting and welcoming clients to the vets, boarding kennels and grooming parlour both in person and on the phone and dealing with their requirements.
Duties:
Answering the telephone, dealing with enquiries and making appointments and bookings. Taking payments and keeping appropriate records on the computer. End of day cashing up and general office duties. Keeping reception clean, tidy and well presented. Filling prescriptions and dispensing medications on the advice of the veterinary surgeon. Give advice where appropriate and be responsible for retail sales of diet foods and pet products.
Skills/Qualifications:
Experienced Veterinary Receptionist, Excellent Telephone Skills and Verbal Communication, Keyboard Skills, Professionalism, Customer Focus, Organisation, Able to work as part of a team and independently.
Working Hours:
Working on a rolling rota averaging 4.5 days a week, 1 weekend in 4 and a day off before and after a weekend has been worked. Start times do vary as do finish times. Rota Changes to 1 weekend in 5 when all 5 receptionists are fully trained.

🐶🐱WE ARE LOOKING FOR A QUALIFIED RVN TO JOIN OUR TEAM🐱🐶

We require a Full Time Qualified Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join our friendly, professional team at our small animal practice based in Aston Clinton, Aylesbury with NO On Call.
Our clinic facilities include 3 theatre suites, dental suite, digital x-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy and in-house laboratory. We have separate theatres and hospital wards for dogs and cats.
We also have our own boarding kennels, cattery and dog grooming parlour on site which makes for a busy and interesting place to work.
Do you have good practical experience and great client communication skills? Are you enthusiastic? Are you a good team player? Are you dedicated to providing high standards of patient and client care, and motivated to run your own nurse clinics? If so we would love to hear from you.
The rota is a 4.5 day week with weekends on a 1 in 4 basis, with a day off before and after the weekend. The rota will change to a 1 in 5 weekends when we have 5 nurses working.
