🌡 Heatstroke warning 🌡
Lovely boy Winston came in today as an emergency due to heat stroke, after his owner collected him from kennels. He was extremely hot in the car, which unfortunately had no air conditioning, and the owner noticed he just wasn't right.
Thankfully she noticed there was a vets here and brought him straight to us, where he collapsed in car park on his way in!
The team acted quickly to bring his temperature down and we are pleased to say he is now doing really well, thanks to his owner's quick thinking and the team's prompt actions.
This just goes to show the dangers that hot weather can pose, particularly to these flat faced breeds like pugs, bulldogs and frenchies, even when not out on walks.
Take care in the heat everyone!
