Winnie rushed straight down to us after helping herself to some raisins at home - a very good decision by her owner to act quickly!
🍇 Why are raisins dangerous?
Raisins (and grapes) are toxic to dogs, and frustratingly, we still don’t fully understand why or how much causes poisoning. Some dogs can become seriously unwell even after eating a small amount, while others may not show symptoms - which is why we never take chances!
⚠️ What do we do?
Because the toxic dose is unknown, the safest approach is to make them sick as soon as possible to remove the raisins from their system before they can cause harm 🤮
Winnie was feeling very sorry for herself after her visit, but she was in the best hands and received plenty of reassurance (and cuddles!) from RVN Bec 🥰
