Somerset Electrical and Property Services would like to recognise the brilliant work being carried out by Wivey Kitchen and Pantry in Wiveliscombe, Somerset, a valued community organisation supporting local people and making a real difference.

Steve, Director of Somerset Electrical and Property Services, personally sponsors the PAT compliance work within the organisation as part of an ongoing commitment to community support. Steve attended today to PAT test their electrical equipment, helping to ensure it is safe, compliant and ready for continued day to day use.

Wivey Kitchen and Pantry plays an important role locally, and Somerset Electrical and Property Services is proud to support the work they do for the community.

At Somerset Electrical & Property Services, we make sure our training is kept up to date so all work is carried out safely, correctly and in line with current standards.

We regularly complete training across all areas of our work, including CCTV and security systems, EV charger installations, solar PV and battery storage, as well as domestic, commercial and industrial electrical services.

We are qualified solar installers and GivEnergy approved installers, trained to install single phase and three phase solar inverters along with battery storage systems for domestic and commercial or industrial use.

Staying current with training and product knowledge helps ensure we remain up to date with new developments in technology, allowing us to provide reliable and modern solutions across all the services we offer.

A recent garden room installation completed and ready to be enjoyed by a lovely family as we head towards spring and summer.

This is one of many projects we’ve been involved in so far this year, and it’s been nice to spotlight something that looks ahead to brighter days and better weather. It’s a great example of how an outdoor space can be transformed into a comfortable and practical area to enjoy as the seasons change.

After a busy number of callouts over the holiday period, and some very kind feedback regarding the service we provide, we realised something important. Many of you already know and trust Somerset Electrical & Property Services, and many of you already know Steve. But you might not yet know the full breadth of experience behind the name and the work we deliver.

So, we thought we would share a little more background on the person who started it all.

Meet Steve Eastick: Founder & Director of Somerset Electrical & Property Services:

Many of you will already know Steve through his work in Wiveliscombe and the surrounding parishes; supporting homes, local businesses, rural trades, farms and community buildings. His work stretches across the South West and into major projects further afield, but his approach has always remained rooted in the community he is part of.

Steve’s career combines deep engineering knowledge with long-standing project leadership. His experience spans electrical engineering, electronics, telecommunications, and senior leadership estate infrastructure management, giving him the rare ability to both carry out work directly and lead project delivery at scale.

His core service expertise includes:
* EV Charger Installer – qualified government installer under the OZEV scheme
* Security and access systems
* CCTV and smart monitoring systems
* Solar PV systems
* Solar battery and battery storage solutions
* Domestic, Industrial and Commercial electrical installations
* Electrical Engineer - Inspection, testing, certification and compliance
* Regulatory and safety compliance support
* Capital project leadership, new builds, refurbishment and planned maintenance delivery

Steve is recognised locally for precision, dependability, and clear, practical guidance, whether the job is in a home, a commercial site, a rural setting or a large-scale development.

And one final positive, and slightly unexpected bonus skill, Steve is also a fully qualified ceramics Kiln Engineer, a specialist capability that reflects the depth and range that true engineering experience often brings.

As we head towards Christmas, we’ve been involved in so many fantastic local projects across the autumn and winter. It’s always a pleasure to support our local community, and we’re proud to have supported the refurbishment of this new community store, celebrating locally sourced produce and hearty take away meals cooked on site.

Our works included a full rewire of the shop, new lighting and power circuits, dedicated supplies for display fridges and freezers, custom lighting to showcase produce, plus an extraction system and 3-phase supply for the commercial kitchen.

It’s brilliant to see the store open and thriving just in time for Christmas. Wishing them every success!
