☀️ Heatwave Reminder ☀️

With another heatwave forecast for the end of next week, I have put on a few extra grooming appointments before it arrives.

If your furry friend is due a groom, now is the perfect time to get them booked in.

During the last heatwave, I had lots of last-minute enquiries, but unfortunately I had to close the grooming room because it became too hot to safely groom dogs.

If temperatures get too high again, I may have to do the same, so please don’t leave it until the last minute. Although temperatures so far are absolutely fine to continue as normal.

☀️ Heatwave Update ☀️

Due to the current heatwave, I’ve made the difficult decision to close the grooming room for a few days.

The safety and wellbeing of your dogs will always come first. Even though the grooming room is normally a comfortable environment, the extreme temperatures we’re experiencing mean that it can become too warm for dogs to be groomed safely. Grooming itself can be physically demanding, and the use of high-velocity dryers and finishing dryers can increase the risk of dogs overheating, particularly older dogs, puppies, flat-faced breeds, or those with underlying health conditions.

I’m also mindful that many dogs would need to travel to and from their appointments in these temperatures, which can add further stress and increase the risk of heat-related illness.

I know this may be disappointing, especially for those who had appointments booked this week, but I’d much rather rearrange appointments than put any dog at risk.

Thank you all for your understanding, patience, and support. It means a lot that you trust me to put your dogs’ welfare first. ❤️

To help accommodate everyone affected, I’ll be working extra hours next week and will do my very best to fit in all the dogs I’ve had to postpone this week.

Please keep your pups cool, make sure they have plenty of fresh water, and avoid walks during the hottest parts of the day. 🐾☀️

🐾 The online booking system is back! 🐾

Many of you found it much easier to use, so I’ve decided to reintroduce it. The booking link can be found in my Instagram bio, and it’s also below in this post. I can also send the link directly to you, just drop me a message.

A few things to note:

• Prices shown are guide prices only and may vary depending on coat condition, matting, behaviour, size, and time required. Please message me if you’d like a more accurate quote.

• All existing appointments have been transferred across and will be honoured.

• Deposits are now required when booking. A minimum of 3 days’ notice is needed for cancellations. Deposits are non-refundable for late cancellations or no-shows.

• Remaining balances are payable on the day. card payments are available, however fees apply therefore Cash is preferred.

This should also help me respond to messages much more quickly! If you have any questions or need an appointment adjusted, please get in touch.

I’m taking a little time away on annual leave ✈️ ☀️

As some of you know, I run a dog grooming business as well as teach yoga, and with the busyness of everyday life, I’m taking a much needed break. In my yoga teaching, I often speak about the importance of pausing, and connection, so now it’s time for me to truly honour that myself.

I’ll be stepping back from social media, putting down the distractions, and creating a peaceful little holiday bubble with my boys, my son and my partner. Especially as it’s my son’s very first holiday.

This time is about slowing down, soaking in the moments that matter most, and reconnecting with what’s right in front of me. A gentle reminder to you too, life isn’t happening somewhere else, it’s here, now, cherish those moments with loved ones.
