We have had a great weekend with both Lucy and Maize.

We entered Lucy into her 1st open working test since having pups 10 weeks ago. She ran really well, we was able to walk away with a Certificate of Merit. Our aim was to get scores on the board and see what areas in training we should focus on. She handled everything in her stride and showed its time to start pushing ready for the season to come.

We entered Maize into her second puppy working test and after a run off we walked away with 1st place 🏆. Maize is consistently performing well in her training and is handling the pressure of working tests really well.

I would just like to say thank you to both URC North Mids and Worcestershire Gundog Society for organising such great days and to all the helpers and judges for giving up there day so we may enjoy working our dogs.

So now that most of Lucy's puppies have gone to there new homes, I thought I would introduce Minerskiln Azalia (Ida).

The pack is growing quickly and we can't wait to see how Ida and Clova progress through there training.

Finally we was able to take Maize to her very first Puppy Working Test.
I'm very pleased with how Maize coped with everything, especially with so much going on.
The tests were challenging yet achievable and we was able to walk away with 2nd place 🥈with a very good standard of Puppies running.
I would just quickly like to say thank you to Midland Gundog Society for organising such a great day on fabulous ground and to the amazing team of Helpers and Judges for giving up there day so we may run our dogs

I'm pleased to say, all Puppies have a forever working home.
I couldn't be more happier with the homes they have lined up.
They will all be doing what they have been bred for, and that is to work at all levels out in the fields with there new handlers.

Thank you to all who shared and liked our posts, which helped to ensure we found the best homes for these wonderful pups

I haven't been able to run a dog in a test this season due to Lucy being in Pup and work getting in the way of taking Maize to a Puppy Test.
Luckily enough for me, Jane Fairclough wasn't able to take Nova to Dukeries Novice Test and I asked if I may run Nova on her behalf. This is the first time I have worked Nova and she did not disappoint. We ended up gaining 2nd place 🥈.
Just need to say a big thank you to Jane for allowing me this opportunity and to all at Dukeries for an amazing day. Especially the helpers who were out in the Sun all day

It's that time of year where people start to look at upcoming litters and puppies. And on that note we are planning to have a litter with Lucy.
