🩷Mini and Pico🩷

These two lovely ladies came to us for their lap spays recently! Laproscopic spays use smaller incisions and a camera, meaning less pain for the patient and quicker recovery time. Both girls were absolute superstars! 🌟

Here is a photo of them before their discharge having a lovely snuggle with our nursing manager Kath! (Who finds it hard to resist a cuddle from any dog!)🥰

💚A Huge Congratulations to Millie!💚

Last month marked an incredible milestone for Millie as she passed all her exams and OSCE’s and became a fully qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse.

We are all so very proud of Millie of how she has continued to develop from the start of her course right up until the end. Millie constantly provides so much care to patients, helping out others members of the team when needed and always with a smile!🌞

The whole team is so excited to see her keep progressing and making a difference here in practice. Here is to the start of a wonderful career filled with purring patients, waggy tails and lives made better here at Lime Trees🐱🐶🌟

Meet the very sunny Chloe, who has recently joined the Lime Trees team and is soon to become a fully qualified veterinary nurse! Although she hasn’t been with us long, it’s like she has always been here. We love having her on the team as she brings lots of positive energy and gives everyone lots of cuddles (team members too!)💕🥹

One of her favourite parts of being a nurse here at Lime Trees is nursing in critical medicine cases, learning and developing her skills. Additionally, she enjoys getting to care for patients from the minute they arrive needing our help, to the moment they can leave healthy and happy. This is something Chloe finds very special, to be able to be trusted with someone's pet – a privilege she doesn’t take for granted🐶🐱

Outside of work, Chloe likes to be outdoors and getting creative. Shes kept in good company at home by her beautiful 7-year-old Boxer Barney (Her best friend). Who’s provided her with lots of love for the bouncy Boxer breed!💚

🐶🌞Keep you dog cool during this heatwave!🌞🐶

Hot weather can be very dangerous to dogs, here are some tips to keep their tails wagging safely:

🕛 Walk very early in the morning or late, avoid walking during the hottest periods of the day. Be sure to still check the temperatures later in the evening as it may still be too warm.
💦 Make sure fresh cool water is always available.
⛱ Ensure your pet has cool, shaded areas during the day, consider bringing them inside if this is not possible.
❌ Don't leave dogs in the car! If you are planning to travel with your pet, consider travel times and taking regular stops if needed.
🌀 Use fans if needed around the house, to try and keep the environment cool.

Symptoms of heat stroke: excessive panting, drooling, lethargy, confusion, vomiting and wobbliness.

If you have any concerns of your dog having heat stroke please contact your vets immediately❗
