I know we all see the sunshine and feel the heat and think the best thing for our dogs is to get them into the salon — but honestly, in this weather, it’s not always the best option. ☀️🐶
I’ve had so many messages this week asking for last-minute appointments, so I just wanted to explain a few things.

Firstly, I currently have no appointments available for at least 2 weeks. On extremely hot days, I’m also having to rearrange parts of my schedule to make sure the dogs already booked in are safe and comfortable, so those dogs will always get priority for rebooking.

Secondly, putting dogs through a full blow dry in this heat just isn’t something I’m comfortable doing. Their wellbeing always comes first. At the moment, many dogs are leaving the salon slightly damp — and that will not do them any harm at all.

Thirdly, as I always say, pre-booking is essential. It means when the hot weather arrives, your dog is already prepared for it, or if an appointment needs to be delayed by a few days because of the heat, their coat will still be manageable and they’ll be absolutely fine.

Honestly, the best place for your dog in this weather is usually at home, relaxing in a shaded room with a fan and a cool mat, staying calm and comfortable 🐾
