It is so important that we check our doggies dewclaws regularly

If your dog doesn’t come to the groomers or you’ve just had a rescue. Whatever it may be, please check all your doggies nails!

I had a message from a friend that she had got a rescue doggie ‘Bear’ that she wanted to book in straight away as he was very smelly!

When I went to do his nails I noticed a lump around his dewclaw, as I looked closer I noticed that this poor baby’s dewclaw had grown that much that it was growing inside his skin causing a very smelly and very painful infected dewclaw.

I immediately said this doggie needs veterinary attention and so she took him straight away…

This is what the vets pulled out 😫

I’m so thankful I was able to fit him in and see what was happening so that he wasn’t in pain for much longer.

He’s now on antibiotics and recovering ❤️‍🩹
