Beautiful boy Ralph came for his first time with me recently and had a much needed bath and deshed which he definitely needed. His winter coat was well and truly coming out, making way for his summer coat.
Ralph is a very gental soul and is looking amazing despite being 9! ❤️

Ralph wasn't keen on the dryer and has had an ear infection recently, so a happy hoodie was put over his head to protect his ears 😊

My deshed spa is an amazing addon for any dog thats shedding heavily and can be added to any bath and brush. My bath and brushes include a nail trim and ear clean, while the deshed also includes a mudbath, as well as a deshed shampoo and spray to further aid in loosening any dead fur.

Another noodle puppy, this gorgeous little girl was in for her first big girl groom after coming in a couple of weeks ago for her first puppy groom. 🐾

Daisy is such an amazing little dog who had so much patience, sitting so well for everything throughout her time with me, especially since its only her second visit!

A beautiful bundle of noodles turned into a little fluff ball after his very first professional groom this week 😍

This handsome fellow is Simba, and he really does have the heart of a lion. 🦁
Despite being his first time visiting a salon, he flew through his puppy groom with flying colours, so much so that he's coming back for his first big boy groom in a couple of weeks!

Puppy Grooms are an essential step in preparing your pup for the grooming world by gently and slowly introducing them to the sights, sounds and smells of the salon. This not only builds confidence, but also trust in their groomer by teaching them that there's nothing to be scared of.
These can be started when your vet gives you the go ahead to take your puppy for a walk after a their 2nd vaccinations. 🐕

Puppy grooms include:

🐾 A bath in a puppy sensitive shampoo before being dried and brushed.
🐾 Nails clipped
🐾 Ears cleaned
🐾 Pads & hygiene shaved
🐾 Face & paw tidy.

Beautiful girl Bobbie paid another visit for a much needed haircut this week and just in time! Those grinch feet were definitely getting a little out of control! 😅

Bobbie is a very loving cocker spaniel who sits like an absolute angel for everything and loves nothing but a fuss and a cuddle when we're all done.

Hopefully she'll feel a lot cooler now for the warm weather 😎

Anybody else loving this lovely weather we're blessed with right now? Benji absolutely loves nothing but to enjoy a good snooze outside in the sun, soaking up the sun's rays ☀️

That said, our furry friends do struggle in the heat, so heres a few helpful tips to help keep them cool during the hot weather! 🌡

🐾 Only walk them first thing in the morning or last thing at night when the temperature is at its lowest.

🐾 Provide cooling aids such as cooling bandanas, cooling mats, etc

🐾 Avoid unnecessary journeys with your pooch where possible. Close curtains and blinds during the hottest times of the day and provide fans if safe to do so.

🐾 Regularly provide cold clean water.

🐾 Make it fun by providing cooling treats! These could be doggy friendly icecreams or make your own DIY frozen treats with dog safe fruits.

🐾 If your dog likes water, give them a paddling pool to play in!

🐾 Brachycephalic or dogs with short muzzles such as Shih-Tzus, French Bulldogs, British Bulldogs, etc, struggle more in the heat due to their restricted airways, making panting far less efficient than other breeds. As do elderly dogs and puppies. Be especially careful with them in this hot weather and keep a close eye on them.

Another lovely visit from cheeky boy Milo today, with a bit more length off as his hair grows like wild fire! But we still kept to that adorable teddy bear cut like before ❤️

As usual, he always has something say at the end of his groom 😅

After a lovely week off and feeling refreshed, I'm back at work and looking forward to seeing my furry clients again!

Handsome man Coco came back for his second puppy groom today after his first one showed me he needed a little more time and a little more convincing that getting a pamper isn't all that bad. He is usually a very cheeky chappy at home so hopefully as he comes on a regular basis, he will come out of his shell ❤️

For his second visit he was a lot braver and did really well, so he's coming back next month for his first big boy groom! 😊

I am off for a week and will be back on Monday 18th of May. During this time I won't be answering any phone calls but I will be checking messages from time to time.

Beautiful Luna had her first visit with me today 😊

Little Luna's owner informed me that she can be difficult for her face and is nervous throughout the grooming process. She was very reluctant and shy when we first met and didn't really want much to do with me, but as time went on she started to learn to trust and slowly came out of her shell! ❤️

Her owner likes her short and thankfully this works wonders for Luna, because while she certainly doesn't have an aggressive bone in her body, she was not keen on her paws and face being touched and was quite the wriggler! 😅

Despite this she did really well and managed a full groom! Just by looking at her before and after pictures, her body language had gone from a worried little lady to a happy girl with a wagging tail. Her face was not perfect, but the welfare and comfort of any of my furry visitors are my main priority, and her owner is all on board with this as well! 🥰

I'm so happy with how well she did and how quickly she settled. She and her brother will both be coming back in a couple of months time and I'm super excited to see how her confidence grows with every visit ❤️
