We've had a few people recently asking if our pond still has water as most have now dried up...
The short answer is yes...
However ...
We have now used all of the water available to top it up, and as you can see it is much below the normal level, therefore it is more murky and muddy, but still swimmable!
We have a tap with fresh running water and you are welcome to bring some shampoo and wash your dog off after using the pond (but no shampoo in the pond please).
We have dug the other ponds on the farm deeper in the hope that we won't run out again next year 🙏
We all need to pray for rain!

☀️🌡We are keeping a close eye on the weather during the next hot spell. The weekend looks to be warm, but cloudy, so it should be fine.
Monday is forecast to be 34 degrees with blazing sun so we have again blocked out sessions from midday until evening. As always, if you have a session that you wish to reschedule during any hot spell then please drop us a message, your dogs welfare always comes first ☀️🌡

🌞 We have blocked out all midday sessions Thursday, Friday and Saturday and contacted current bookings to reschedule.
With the weather set to be 31 degrees we just feel it's too hot for doggies to be running around and feel as a business with the dogs happiness at the forefront of our minds this was the right thing to do.
Remember we are open at 5am until 10pm so early mornings and late evenings are ideal in this weather 🌞

The weather is looking hot this week 🔥
If you wish to move your slots to earlier in the morning or another week when it's cooler then this isn't a problem.

We do have the large pond, fresh drinking water and a shaded field shelter so make the most of these.

We have now put the cows out in the field next to the dog walking field, same as last summer, they will only be there for a short while before moving onto another fresh field.
If you have a dog that's reactive to livestock, then don't panic, use it as a safe way to train your dogs, in a safe environment where there is a secure fence between them and the cows.
(There is actually only a very small bit of fence where you can see the cows as the rest is hedge).
Our cows are used to dogs so you won't frighten them if your dogs are unsure 🐮🐄
Enjoy looking at the beautiful baby calves too 😍

Please DO NOT let your dogs dig, OR disrespect our equipment! If something gets broken by accident atleast have the decency to let us know, after all, you have agreed to the above two points on the Ts&Cs when you book your slot!
I feel like all I do lately is moan, is it that difficult to just respect the facilities provided?!
We are looking into installing more cameras, and when we catch people not following the rules they will have an instant ban from the field 😡

❗️WARNING OFFENSIVE LANGUAGE❗️
We are extremely saddened to see that our new field shelter has been graphitied with disgusting language. We find it hard to believe that an adult would do this, so if you have children or teenagers attend the field with you then please keep an eye on them!
This is so disrespectful and disappointing and if we find out who it was we will name and shame and you will be banned from using the field! 😡

On a different note...
We are going to be increasing our prices over the weekend.
We have kept them as low as possible for as long as possible, but with the cost of our overheads increasing, and having just spent a small fortune adding more equipment to the field to make it better, and the constant maintenance to keep the field upto a high standard, we need to make our prices match what we offer.
We hope you understand and we thank you for your continued support and custom 😊🐾🐶

💧THE POND 💧

Our pond is a natural, spring fed pond, not a man made one, therefore the water level rises and falls according to the weather.
We had a few messages last summer about the water level dropping.
We've had a few this year already, obviously we've had no rain for a while now and with numerous dogs in and out of it every day, this also takes water out.
We've never filled it up before as we didn't want to disturb the water, but we equally don't want disappointed customers so today we tried something new...
We tanked 48,000 litres of water from one of our other ponds to bring the water level back up, which took 2 hours.
We are aware the pond can get murky, but again with it being a natural pond there unfortunately isn't much we can do about that bit 😢
We hope that our customers and their four legged friends will be happy with our efforts 😊
