Thinking about expanding into doggy day-care…

Pet check ins while owners are at work or out for the day to give fresh water, food, toilet breaks or even to give medication if they need it

Will also offer holiday stays, wanting to get away but worried about what to do with your pets, if your anything like me you hate the thought of putting your pets in a kennel or cattery, with me they could be safely looked after within the comfort of their own home.

Tonight I got to meet Carlos, I got tagged in a post of his owner asking for help with the owner having autism, it causes them to be easily frustrated which can have a massive impact on your dog and how they behave. Carlos needed help with his on lead walking and barking and pulling to get to another dog in a friendly way. When taking Carlos out, I did so on my own and after a few minutes he was walking lovely and following commands and even sat and calmly watched a dog playing with their ball. I have made a plan to continue taking Carlos out on my own to get the training in place and then join with the owner and begin teaching them how to continue Carlos’ training in order to help the relieve the frustration. Can't find the time for training?

Did you know that the dogs do better when training sessions are kept short and sweet compared to lengthy sessions at a time.

A couple of 3-5 minute sessions in a day compared to one hour long session is going to give you better results.

Cannot find 3 minutes in a day? Have a go at Kettle Training! 🫖

So as some people know I have had a lot of trouble with my big girls on lead walking, with her being my first dog I trained her just off the lead (big mistake) as I now know trying to walk a 40 kilo pulling machine is impossible! WRONG - putting in the work, changing her harness to the collar and what a difference it makes. There is no such thing as a perfect dog they all have their problems but if you put in as much time and energy you will see results 🐾

Enrichment 🙌

You will see a massive change in your pup or dog just by introducing enrichment toys such as licki mats, snuffle mats or puzzle games. Just 20 minutes on these alone is the equivalent to an hours walk as it works their brain not just their body.

With the licki mats you can put anything you like on them, here I have just spread some natural peanut butter and put it in the freezer to last that bit longer. Things like natural and Greek yogurt, banana, blueberries, veggie purées and peanut butter (xylitol free) are great to spread on your licki mats 🐶
