Today we said goodbye to our gentle giant, Jax. We are heartbroken 💔😔

He was loved by staff, customers and dogs alike, and the daycare won’t be quite the same without him.

We’re sending all our love to his family and are thinking of them during this difficult time.

Sleep tight, Jax. ❤️🐾

If you’re shopping around for the cheapest dog daycare… please read this 🚨

Higher standard UK daycare ratios are currently 1 member of staff to every 8 dogs.

Then there’s:
• Proper cleaning products & disinfectants
• Pet Fresh & odour control
• Virkon disinfectant
• Endless laundry
• Biodegradable poo bags by the bucket load
• Licensed waste collection (💸💸💸)
• Staff training & canine first aid
• Enrichment and toys replaced regularly
• Temperature control fans/heaters
• Kibble to suit the pack that has a nutritional value

Trying to stay very low with pricing, and doing all of the above properly simply isn’t cheap unless corners are being cut. ⛔️

So before choosing the cheapest daycare you can find, please make sure your dog is somewhere that is:
✔️ fully licensed (easily found on local council websites)
✔️ insured (daycares should be able to provide a certificate of insurance if asked)
✔️ safely staffed (ask how many dogs a daycare is getting and look for hoomans)
✔️ hygienic (smells can’t be helped, but proper cleaning protocols must be followed to stop infections.)
✔️ At least one member of staff on site should have a qualification in some form of canine care. Although this is still not a legal requirement. 💀

Pup owners please be mindful of this as we have had several dogs join us from other daycares due to various reason - and there’s a reason we have a wait list 👀🐾
