We are urgently looking to expand our amazing volunteer team across the North West 💛

📍 Particularly needed in:
• South Lakes
• North Manchester
• Bolton

Right now, limited cover in these areas means we sometimes have to say no to potential homes… and that’s something we never want to do 💔

There are numerous species and cultivars of tulip commonly available as popular cut flowers or as bulbs for growing in gardens and parks. Tulips contain irritant compounds that can cause drooling, vomiting, diarrhoea and abdominal discomfort. Severe cases are rare, and many animals remain well.

All parts of tulips are toxic, but particularly the bulbs. The bulbs contain the highest concentration of the irritant compound and therefore ingestion can cause clinical signs. With ingestion of bulbs, there is an added risk of gastrointestinal obstruction which may require surgical intervention at the vet.

For 24hr advice, owners should call the Animal PoisonLine on 01202 509000. Vets should use the VPIS membership line on 020 7305 5055.

As we are a home-based boarding service, the gates to our property are opened at the scheduled time. I ask clients to arrive at the arranged time so I can manage dogs and household routines safely.

We have a young family & our own dogs and try to be accommodating but we are also only human.

Please ensure you check T&Cs at pet insurance renewal.
Had mine for my own dogs and many pets have made a few changes which will catch people out.....

- co-payment age lowered to 7
-no cover for bilateral conditions
-no complementary cover if your dog competes in more than 2 sporting competitions per year

To name a few.... please be mindful of checking with your provider about your cover

Very interesting read to include the 5 most common breeds affected and the most commonly performed procedures.

If your dog has a CCL injury please remember to sign up to the register. Without owners/vets logging data improvements can't be made for advances in care.
