"Dogs sweat through their tongue"

❌️ MYTH!

Dogs actually cool themselves mainly by panting, which helps moisture evaporate from their respiratory tract. They do have sweat glands - but they' re mostly found in their paw pads, not their tongue!
They also loose heat through their bellies, through coat aeration and coat function. Clever evolution! Essentially, dogs who arent groomed regularly and have dead coat will overheat due to trapped heat at skin level.

As the weather warms up, it's so important to help keep your pups cool and comfortable

Top summer tips:

❌️Avoid walking in peak heat

✅️Always provide fresh water

✅️Keep coats maintained and de-shedded

❌️Never leave dogs in cars

✅️Watch for signs of overheating
