Yesterday, Teams Kai,Solly, Saffie and Evie. made an early start to enjoy some urban trailing before it became warm. The focus of the session was junction work and how wind direction can change and affect the trail. They were all brilliant. Teams Evie and Kai completed United Canine Scent Sport Mini league level 1 Urban too. What a lovely successful day for all nicely rounded off together with coffee’s for the humans in the sunshine

Friday Morning. In view of the ongoing high temperatures 4 teams from It’s All About The Nose Tracking And Trailing changed venue and met early in the woods to continue trailing.
So we had Teams Ellwood, Otis, Zanzi and Ralphie and we were also joined by Ralph’s older brother..… Hugo. who has never done any tracking or trailing.
Following a quick warm up, to focus, the goal for Ellwood Otis and Ralph was to find our ever trust Ann. They were given a start point and the rest was left to the nose..
watching the different styles of tracking and trailing was interesting. Ralph circling around the scent pool to find Ann. Otis steady and accurate pausing to think along the way with his handler learning to read his body language and not rushing him.
Ellwood as steady as ever, giving lovely negatives at junctions.
Zanzi meanwhile had to find Tony….Zanzi decided to take the short cut air scenting to the hide .
Zanzi also completed his Level 1 Rural United Canine Scent sports assessment.
Hugo meanwhile had a little go at trailing and was awsome
A fantastic morning had by all

Today 4 teams from It’s All About The Nose Tracking and Trailing were out and about. In a beautiful rural environment. The morning started of a little damp and overcast. It gradually dried out and warmed up with a light intermittent breeze.
Team Saffie completed an introduction to tracking and trailing. Working well and picking up the game really quickly.
Team Major having had his introduction some time ago, remembered the game, enjoying himself and showing just what a steady worker he is.
Team Solly, a little live wire, really enjoyed the session, worked on accuracy and slowing down. This being only the 1st session after her introduction, Tracking and Trailing in this environment really suited her.
Team Evie, the most experienced member of the group, completed a track with twists and turns and slightly aged. She also worked on indications
All the handlers had a fun session with the long lines, working on reeling in and out of the lines

Four Teams from It’s All About The Nose Tracking and Trailing, were out and about in the Bluebells on Wednesday the 20th May. So not only did we miss last weeks scorching weather we saw the bluebells in all the glory
Teams Dylan, Molly Gunner and Bruce, all completed lovely trails involving junctions and turns. Team Bruce were working on confidence building, he’s nice and steady and accurate. Dylan, is incredibly keen and his handler has worked really hard getting him to focus and its clearly paying off.
Team Gunner is steady, and accurate he’s lovely to watch adding tracking to his skills has only enhanced his work.
Molly the pocket rocket, adding tracking to her skill set has helped to reduce the spaniel zoomies. This means she’s not wasting energy on the track she’s now more focused
At the end of the session
3 teams completed United Canine Scent Sport mini league assessments
with teams Molly and Dylan passing Rural 4
Team Gunner passing Rural 1
well done everyone

Friday was all about the Boys…Ralph, Ellwood, Otis and Zanzi
All the handlers had elected to start the session early. in view of the warm weather forcasted.
They were also extremely efficient in track/trail laying..this meant as soon as one team had finished the next was ready to go…This meant that as well as nice long trails we were able to finish off with split trails
The venue can be challenging with dog walkers and pedestrians. All the teams coped really well with the contaminated trails.
The split trails allowed us to work on our indication with nice controlled sits
Well done everyone. A great morning for all

Friday saw 5 teams from It’s All About The Nose Tracking and Trailing out and about in the spring sunshine
Teams Kizzy and Solly completed an introduction to tracking and trailing, both dogs were absolutely brilliant. They took to it like ducks to water.
Meanwhile, teams Kai, Evie and Dexter, had longer trails moving from grass to tarmac and back again. The trails were various ages and they encountered pedestrians on the trail. To finish they did a very short trail with a decoy. They were fabulous
well done everyone

On Monday 5 teams from It’s All About The Nose Tracking and Trailing. Teams Mollie, Molly, Dylan, Gunner and Blu. Were out and about in the sunshine tracking and trailing around the castile. They completed switch backs/s trails, used the boardwalk and cut across the moat using the little bridges.
All teams did really well. The confidence of both the handlers and the dogs has increased so much. They were tracking past the cafe other dogs and pedestrians without batting an eyelid
Well done everyone.
I was a super morning for us all
