Especially if you paid for training THAT DIDN'T WORK!

I've trained more reactive dogs (and have the before/after videos to prove it) than any dog trainer in the World.

In 2023 the UK Government took my business from me to build a railway through the land.

So I started coaching dog trainers to build better businesses.

After 3 long years I'm on the verge of giving up because 90% of dog trainers are taking advantage of you and I CANNOT support that.

Here's how they're doing it.

1) They don't have the experience but charge you anyway...

The dog training Industry is completely unregulated. You could do a course this weekend, call yourself a dog trainer on Monday and start charging struggling owners for your help.

2) They blame you for their failings...

There's a toxic culture amongst dog trainers of hating dog owners. They refer to them as red flags and if you show them, instead of leaning in and helping, trainers write you off and blame you for the failure to get results.

3) They moan about being burnt out...

Most dog trainers are incapable of putting in a full days work and moan about it rather than making the changes they need within their businesses. That's why you don't hear back from them when you need help.

4) They don't realise that what got them results won't work for you...

Dog trainers are obsessed about training dogs. That means they train all day every day. The problem is, unless you can do the same, you won't get results.

5) They worship other trainers who haven't achieved anything in the pet dog World...

There's a few dog training influencers that almost all dog trainers follow. The problem is, not one of them has ran a truly successful dog training business - instead they make their money from social posts and training trainers.

Why am I exposing this?
I have a lot of loyalty to the dog training Industry but I can't sit by and watch unsuspecting dog owners continue to be taken advantage of.

I firmly believe of you pay for a service you should get the result you pay for, or pay nothing at all.

You can't harvest seeds you didn't sow!

That's today's lesson in a nutshell.

If you want to make more money and create a life of financial freedom the only way to get there is to keep investing in your dog training business.

Trust me when I say that holding onto cash in an attempt to get rich will never work.

The only way to fix your financial frustration is to invest in the right things and then reap the rewards of those investments.

And here's the key - when you invest in something you know you'll get infinitely higher returns than when you invest in something you don't.

You know dog training. Invest in it.

Q. Whats the safest bet you can make in life?
A. Betting on yourself.

Back in 2010 I was faced with a choice.

Leave a job I didnt enjoy and follow my passion for dog training or stay stuck doing what I didn't enjoy.

Staying stuck was the easy choice, choosing to follow my passion was scary as hell.

The decision was easy though, you should always choose to bet on yourself - there's nothing else you can be so sure will perform when the chips are down than you.

I ran my dog training business from 2010 to 2023 and there wasn't a single time everything was perfect.

I believe we have to make a choice in life -

To have our future dictated to us
OR
To dictate our future ourselves

I've always chosen to take control of my life.

Sure I might not be able to have thibgs exactly how I'd like them but I can guarantee you this...

I'll have it a hell of a lot better than somebody who's sitting back and moaning.

So I guess you want to know what the tird thing that I did was?

I believed.
I believed, without a shadow of doubt, that no matter how bad things got, I'd do more than any other dog trainer I knew.

It sounds simple doesn't it, and I guess it is really. The more you do, the more get.

Especially when everyone else is just waiting for the misery to end.

You're blocking yourself from the success you want.

Its the most common mindset issue I hear from dog trainers.

They tell me they tried investing in themselves or their business and it didn't work out so now they've stopped trying.

It's not that I don't understand.
I've been there myself.
Infact I wasted more than most trying to find the route to success in my own dog training business.

I've felt the exact same worry, embarrassment and fear of it happening again myself.

But let me tell you what I feared more than making an investment or marketing mistake again....the very real fear of staying stuck in financial misery.

I can't tell you that every gamble you take will pay off (if it was that easy everyone would be financially free).

But what I can tell you is that sooner or later, if you keep trying, you'll find the solution you've been looking for.

And when you find it, the money will come thicker and faster than you ever imagined possible.

If you're planning to be a dog trainer for the next 10-30 Years then you owe it to yourself (and the dogs and owners that need your help) to figure it out.

If you want to raise your prices as a dog trainer, here’s where to start:

1) Ask your clients what they would’ve paid.
You’ll be shocked how often their number is higher than yours.

2) Listen when clients tell you they’ve paid more before you.
That’s proof your pricing isn’t the problem — your confidence is.

3) If you’re nervous, increase fast but in small steps.
£10–£20 at a time… you’ll quickly reach the price you should’ve been charging.

Remember:
Not everyone is short of money.
And most people don’t think about price first — they think about value and experience.

Raise your prices with confidence. Your best clients will follow.

If you want to earn more money then there's only really two ways to do it.

1) Deliver more training.
2) Charge more for the training.

I trained dogs from 2008 to 2023 and generated multiple millions in yearly revenues.

To charge more for your training you have to deliver more value.

Dog owners are savvy about what they spend and who the spend it with.

Here's my top tips;

Perceived value -
1) Improve how your business looks online and in person.
2) Improve how your business sounds on the phone and when people read your website.
3) Improve how 'in demand' your business is.

Real value -
1) Ensure your processes are as easy and seamless as possible from enquiry to purchase.
2) Always be one step ahead of your clients needs
3) Truly aim to solve ALL of your clients troubles.

If you do these things, money worries and clients issues will be a thing if the past!

The dog in the video is a Labrador called Honey. She came to me as a green dog and this is the product of 4 weeks work.

You might look at it and think my handling is rather sloppy....you'd be right.

Why do we train dogs to respond to the typical movements that dog handlers make when our clients don't want to be dog handlers....

Much easier to just train the dog to the picture of sloppy handling 😉

Follow to earn more money, stand out from the competition and get clients better results with less work.

I'm being deadly serious.

I don't need your money.
But it does make me sick to my stomach that dog owners are being tricked by people who are awful at training dogs but great at marketing.

These scavengers and taking money from the pockets of unsuspecting dog owners ...and off of your table.

Enough is enough.

Tell me your struggle and I'll tell you the solution.
I want nothing in return.
Nothing.

Its easy for the 'rich guy' to say.

That's what I used to think when I was trying to find the way to riches.

Now I sit on the other side of the fence.
Setting up a new business.
And I can promise you this.
It's not until you give people what they want......that you'll get what you want.

Its written into the rules.
Its like a dog learning that to get what it wants it must disengage from it first.

I truly hope this resonates with you today.
