Realising with all these cute Chihuahua posts that people might have forgotten about Big Col and wondered how he was 🤣🙋🏻♀️🐶
Colin the XL bully is still here of course and next month it will be three years since I decided to go and meet this terrified big boy despite everyone telling me I was crazy. Seized by police, in kennels with a red card on his door telling staff to show caution and not to handle him 😭💔 he had sores all over his feet and a chronic ear infection, he wouldn’t come and go through the hatch into his indoor area so spent most of the time sleeping outside in the concrete run because he was too afraid to go inside. My straight talking vet told me ‘you’re good Christina, but I think you’ve bitten off more than you can chew with this one’ 😳😳😳
Who was I kidding when I said I’d go and just walk him a few times 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I saw the photos of him and remember thinking I’d never seen a dog has handsome as him, literally like love at first sight. Colin was home within a few weeks and then the XL bully ban was announced meaning I’d just inherited a banned breed dog with a checkered past and no idea what I was going to do with him.
So here is Col Dog tonight before going to bed, some more grey whiskers poking through, a few years older but still just as gorgeous. There is probably no dog out there as loyal as this boy and despite the funny looks I’ve had pushing a pram with a muzzled 40kg dog, I’d not change him for the world and I’m glad he’s here 💕🐶
