Realising with all these cute Chihuahua posts that people might have forgotten about Big Col and wondered how he was π€£ππ»ββοΈπΆ
Colin the XL bully is still here of course and next month it will be three years since I decided to go and meet this terrified big boy despite everyone telling me I was crazy. Seized by police, in kennels with a red card on his door telling staff to show caution and not to handle him ππ he had sores all over his feet and a chronic ear infection, he wouldnβt come and go through the hatch into his indoor area so spent most of the time sleeping outside in the concrete run because he was too afraid to go inside. My straight talking vet told me βyouβre good Christina, but I think youβve bitten off more than you can chew with this oneβ π³π³π³
Who was I kidding when I said Iβd go and just walk him a few times π€£π€£π€£π€£π€£ I saw the photos of him and remember thinking Iβd never seen a dog has handsome as him, literally like love at first sight. Colin was home within a few weeks and then the XL bully ban was announced meaning Iβd just inherited a banned breed dog with a checkered past and no idea what I was going to do with him.
So here is Col Dog tonight before going to bed, some more grey whiskers poking through, a few years older but still just as gorgeous. There is probably no dog out there as loyal as this boy and despite the funny looks Iβve had pushing a pram with a muzzled 40kg dog, Iβd not change him for the world and Iβm glad heβs here ππΆ
