📢 ‼️Important Practice Update‼️📢

Please be advised that on Tuesday, 21st July 2026, our practice will be undergoing a computer system changeover.

As we will have no access to our computer systems throughout the day, the practice will be open for emergency cases only. We kindly ask that all routine appointments, prescription requests, and non-urgent enquiries are made before or after this date where possible.

From Wednesday, 22nd July, the practice will resume normal operating hours and services. However, as our team will be learning and adapting to the new system, appointments and enquiries may take a little longer than usual.

We greatly appreciate your patience and understanding during this transition as we work to improve our service for you and your pets.

Thank you for your continued support! 🐾

☀️🐾 Extreme Heat Warning for Pet Owners 🐶🐱

High temperatures can become dangerous for pets much faster than many people realize! Heatstroke is a medical emergency and can be life-threatening if not treated quickly.

🚨 Signs of Heatstroke:
• Excessive panting or difficulty breathing
• Drooling more than usual
• Bright red or pale gums
• Lethargy, weakness, or confusion
• Vomiting or diarrhea
• Staggering or collapsing
• Seizures or loss of consciousness

💧 How to Keep Your Pet Safe:
✅ Always provide fresh, cool water
✅ Walk dogs very early in the morning or much later in the evening
✅ Avoid hot pavements—they can burn paws
✅ Keep pets in cool, shaded, air-conditioned areas
✅ Never leave a pet in a parked car, even for a few minutes
✅ Never exercise during the hottest parts of the day

🚑 If You Suspect Heatstroke:
Move your pet to a cool area immediately, cover the body in cool water and have a fan blowing on them. Do not cover your pets with any towels or blankets, even if they are wet as with little time this traps heat and worsens symptoms. Call your vets for advice as soon as possible, acting quickly can save their life.

A little extra care during hot weather can make all the difference. ❤️🐾
