We have some very sad news to share from Sealife Adventure.
We have sadly said goodbye to Olive, one of our much-loved crab-eating macaques.
Olive came to us in 2018 after being rescued from a testing laboratory. She was given a new life here at Sealife Adventure and became a much-loved member of our animal family.
As Olive got older, our team kept a close eye on her and made sure she was comfortable and well cared for. After a check by our vets, it was decided that, because of her age, the kindest thing for Olive was to let her go peacefully.
It was a very difficult decision, but one made with Olive’s best interests at heart.
Olive was loved enormously by the team who cared for her and she was also a firm favourite with many of our visitors. She had a wonderful life with us and gave us so many lovely memories over the years.
We’ll miss seeing her every day, and we’re so grateful that we were able to give Olive the happy and peaceful life she deserved.
