Meet Arthur, a 7 month old Bengal kitten looking for his forever home. He is a very confident and loving boy, who absolutely loves a fuss and will purr away. He is very playful and lively so needs lots of stimulation to keep him busy. Due to being a pure breed, he will need to be an indoor only cat. Arthur cat live with other cats (slow introduction), and with children. He hasn’t been tested with dogs.

Due to Arthur being a pure breed, his adoption fee will be higher than normal, to prevent him from being sold on for profit and to ensure he finds the right home.

This is Luna, who apparently isn’t camera shy! She is a beautiful girl, who is 10 months old and looking for her forever home. At first, she is very shy and may hide away, but this doesn’t last for long, once she knows you she is the sweetest girl, she loves a fuss and is very affectionate. She likes lap cuddles and has mad scats frequently! She is very vocal and knows how to tell you when she wants something! Luna can live with other cats, and children over 6 years old. She cannot live with dogs.
Sadly, no observations were done on Luna by the rescue who supplies vouchers to the public on her behaviour, so she was treated as feral at her neuter appointment and ear tipped (very badly too) which has saddened us as this goes against our rule of 2mm ear tipping.

This is Henna, a lovely 18 month old female cat looking for her forever home. She’s a very special girl, who came to us in a poor condition from a severe flea allergy, she had lost most of her furr and was very underweight and frightened. As you can see, she is now in great condition, her furr has grown back and she has gained lots of weight. She is very affectionate and enjoys lots of fuss and cuddles with her foster mum who has done an amazing job looking after her. It is now time for her to move on to her forever home. Although Henna loves humans, she needs to be the only pet in the home, when she came into close proximity of another cat, she started to shed furr again so we think this was also stress related. She can live with sensible children over 12 only.

Our regular followers may have noticed that we are re posting the same cats, and not many new cats are popping up at the moment. Unfortunately, this is because we are completely gridlocked and full to capacity and have been for some time. It is disheartening for us, that young kittens have home offers (with adopters already completed home checks) within days (sometimes hours) of being posted on our page, but adult cats are sat in rescue for weeks on end, sometimes even months, waiting for their forever homes. We are gridlocked with adult cats at the moment, all of which have completely different personalities, but all are loving and will make great pets. Adopting an adult cat comes with its positives - not having to worry about litter training, leaving them alone for long periods, or worrying about your curtains being dangled on! Adult cats are no less loving than kittens, and deserve homes just as much.
At Petsearch, we work down a list of incoming cats, and don’t give preference to younger kittens or “pretty” cats, we take ALL cats, old, quirky, timid, feral, disabled and ones with behavioural issues. We have different lists for all different types of cats and work fairly so all cats have a chance, but we can no longer help any cats, because we have no space to take anyone else in until some of our lovely cats find their forever homes. We have a waiting list of potential adopters for young kittens, but sadly, very few people wanting to adopt an adult cat.

Please, if you’re considering adopting, please consider an older kitten or an adult cat. You won’t be disappointed and will be rewarded with just as much love and warmth from the kitty. They deserve a chance too 🐾

Once he is settled, he is the most affectionate boy you could ask for, he enjoys a fuss and loves being the centre of attention. He also loves to play. Sparky takes comfort from being around other cats, so he needs a home with other cat friendly cats. He can be a little more nervous of men, so any adult men in the home will need to be patient with him. He can live with older children over 8 years old, but not dogs. He really is a lovely boy, who just needs that initial chance to settle in, and then you will have the loveliest kitty 🐈‍⬛

Meet Betty the Bengal (cross breed), she is 4 years old and looking for a new home. Betty needs a special home, she is very frightened of people due to previous abuse, and doesn’t like to be handled or touched, we don’t know if this will change in time so we are looking for an owner who is happy to just leave her to co exist in the home if that is how she is happiest. Betty has always been an indoor only cat.
Betty needs feline companions, otherwise she becomes very withdrawn, however, her feline friends must be confident and not timid cats, as she can be known to chase more frightened cats out of fear. She thrives from being around other cats, and this is her only form of interaction so this is a must.
She is vet work complete and is healthy, she just needs a special and understanding person to come along and allow her to live in their home with no expectations of her. She has been through a lot in her 4 years.

We will not be asking for our full adoption fee for Betty, instead we will be asking for a lower donation as we understand that she needs a lot of socialising.

This is Flash, a Russian dwarf hamster looking for a new home. He is 5 months old and very sweet, he is happy to be handled as you can see by his photos. He is happy to sit in your hands and enjoys time running around in a hamster ball. Flash has come from a home where he was was being terrorised by a resident cat, despite the owners efforts to seperate the cat and hamster, the cat managed to keep entering the room. If being rehomed in a house with cats or dogs, it is essential that they cannot access the room that Flash will be in, as this has caused him a lot of distress previously.

Flash has the option to be rehomed with a full cage set up, or just hamster only.
