Hidden within the spectacular countryside of North Yorkshire, north of York, lie the stables of one of Britain's most famous racehorse trainers. Now holding a dual licence with son David, Mick Easterby has trained over 2,400 winners since taking out a licence in 1961. All of the horses trained here at Mick & David Easterby Racing are treated as indivi

duals and the welfare of the horses is paramount to the workings of the stable. If you're interested Mick and David would be glad to help you purchase perhaps a future champion sprinter or even a Grand National winner, and benefit from their many years of experience of buying and training talented bloodstock. We have vast experience in running racing clubs where racing enthusiasts share the thrills of racehorse ownership by owning smaller shares in several horses. Lovely to hear from Poppy today with an update on Cassanos Lad (also known as Elvis).

Poppy says:

"He's shot up like a w**d he's now 16.2hh and yesterday was his first time having a ride since being with me and he was perfect.

I was worried he wouldn't take up my leg well but he does!

I'm hoping to take him to a local show in August and see how he does just to test the waters with him!

He's a good boy although his new favourite trick in the field is to 'run away' he doesn't let me catch him but he runs off to the gate which is quite funny."
