To help us provide the best care for all our patients, we kindly ask that you allow up to 3 working days for the processing of:

📝Written prescriptions and 💊Repeat medications

These requests must be completed by a qualified veterinarian, who balances this work alongside caring for unwell and emergency patients.

🐶🌾 Out of Hours Emergency: Grass Seed Trouble! 🌾🐶

Last week Iman and Kylie had a brave little visitor come into our out-of-hours clinic after getting two grass seeds lodged in her ear. These tiny seeds might look harmless, but they can cause a lot of discomfort—and even serious infections—if they get lodged in places they shouldn't.

Thankfully, we were able to remove the seeds and Luna is now back on the road to recovery with some well-deserved rest and cuddles. 💚

👉 Reminder to all pet parents: Grass seeds are especially common this time of year. Check your dog’s paws, ears, and coat after walks—especially if you’ve been through long grass.

Stay safe out there, and give your furry friends a little extra check when you get home! 🐾

Meet Harriett, one of our Night Registered Veterinary Nurses!🐾

Harriett has been working as an emergency night vet nurse for the past five years. She has special interests in emergency medicine, critical care, pain management, and end-of-life care and is passionate about supporting both pets and their owners during difficult times- even having completed additional training specifically in pet bereavement counselling.

Alongside her nursing role, Harriett also enjoys teaching emergency skills to other vets and nurses.

At home, Harriett’s life is never dull thanks to her two dogs—a cheeky three-legged Patterdale Terrier and a Shih Tzu cross—plus three cats, all of whom found their way into her home through her work.

When she’s not at the practice, Harriett enjoys curling up with a good book or heading out on adventures with her nieces and family.

In the past, we had limited ways for you – our amazing clients – to share feedback. Now, your input is already helping us shape real improvements. While we can’t fix everything overnight, we’re committed to working through your suggestions step by step.

👩‍⚕️🐾 Just last night, our night team rolled up their sleeves and built brand-new chairs for the waiting and consult rooms, adding extra seating for everyone. This is only the beginning – we have more changes and improvements planned, all inspired by your feedback.

Meet Kelly, our amazing Day Registered Veterinary Nurse here at Old Registry Vets!

Since she joined our team in June 2025, Kelly has brought over a decade of invaluable experience from the world of small animal practice. After qualifying in 2018, her passion for veterinary care really shines through, especially when it comes to consults and inpatient care. You can always count on her for compassionate support when our furry friends need it the most!

When she’s not busy at the clinic, Kelly enjoys taking relaxing walks with her adorable black Labrador, Norman. She also loves snuggling up on the sofa with her four Sphynx cats while listening to her favourite podcasts. Additionally, when time allows, she generously contributes her help to Cleethorpes Wildlife Rescue.

Kelly is thrilled to be part of such a dedicated and caring team, treating every patient as if they were her own beloved pet.

Old Registry Vets are a friendly, well equipped, new, companion animal veterinary practice situated on the site of the old Scunthorpe Registry Office.

We are locally and independently owned and run.

We aim to provide compassionate, professional, high-quality veterinary care to your pet.

We feel that continuity of care is very important. Having a small, caring, enthusiastic and dedicated team means you will always see a familiar face (even in the middle of the night!); someone who gets to know you and your pet.
