⭐ Why?:
Maggie has been nominated for Best in Show this week, thanks to her brilliant growth over the weeks since joining Alex's walks. Maggie is a jack russel (ikyky) who's used to amazing adventures with her humans, and joined our walks to gain her confidence around other dogs. We're so happy to say that she is doing just that and we see her confidence grow each and every week. This week, a group of off lead dogs approached and she didn't bark or step away, she took it in her tiny stride like the trooper she is! Well done Maggie!

The dogs couldn't have been in better hands while I have been asleep by the pool... Please enjoy this little video we've put together of their adventures this week!

Massive thanks to the team, Alex, Chloe and Paige for stepping in while I took a much-needed break. I'll be back to work on Monday but I know some of my dogs will be missing their holiday walkers! It means the world that I have such a wonderful team of women behind me, knowing that the only thing I have to worry about on Monday is Denver pouting about not having Alex's sausage dog army to accompany him on his walks, or Milo wanting another 5K jaunt around Messingham.

Thank you as well to Danielle and the team at Love of dogs boarding, without whom I wouldn't have such amazing peace of mind to know that Bella is having as much of a holiday as I did. The updates and contact were second to none, and Bella is still asleep after her last day there.

A quick thanks as well to the family members who stepped in to care for our cats and aquatics 🥰 Bree has still not stopped pouting about her missing boyfriend Dan.

That's it folks, I'm jetting off! ✈️ Alex, Chloe and Paige will be running their schedules as normal, so there are no disruptions there. Kindly, they've managed to squeeze some of my pups in as well, although they're on strict orders to give them back when I return!

I'll be back to my regular schedule on the 8th! New enquiries will be responded to then. 💕🍹

Please be aware that calls and texts to our main number (07762341634) will not be received during this transition period.

When it's finally cool enough to take your cat for a walk... 🐱🤣

It's not just about the dogs! In hot weather like this, it's not uncommon that the focus is on our dogs! After all, they are used to walks, used to going outside, and used to being able to frolic... But let's not forget that dogs are not the only ones tackling this heat wave in a fur coat!

Whether you have an indoor cat or an outdoor cat, here are some top tips for battling the heat and keeping everyone as comfortable as we can!

🧊 Ice cubes make for tempting water bowls, keep fresh water in multiple spaces and check regularly for top ups!
🪟 Keep curtains closed during the hottest part of the day!
💧 Damp towels or cooling mats can be great as a cool space to lay, or access to cool tiled floors!
🚪 Keep outdoor cats in during the hottest parts of the day if possible.
🪮 Keep on top of grooming! Hot weather means for more shed fur and this can get impacted, leading to extra insulation that will cause discomfort!
🥩 Wet food can help with hydration during hot weather!

⭐ Why?:
Because he's Bella's best mate and she rigged the system 🤷 All jokes aside, Rocky has been a good boy in the last couple of weeks while his mum recovers from broken ankle life. He's made friends with Maisie, securing himself a regular slot on a Thursday, and played nicely with Bella despite her being the biggest mixed signal gal going. 8/10 girlfriend material, bit of a 🚩 🤣 Team Maisie all the way as Rocky's future bride.
