Ticks! 🪳
This week I’ve had 2 dogs come in with a tick on - one between the toes, and the other on the back of the neck under the collar, both prime locations for ticks to hide! The one under the collar was only made visible because of the dryer allowing me to see down to the skin of a double coated dog. It was so small I thought it was a flea!
Just a reminder to keep up to date with flea and tick treatments from the vets (not frontline) at this time of year. Especially if you regularly walk through woodland, long grass and meadows. They can carry disease and pass them onto humans too 😖
