Seeing Stapleford Come What May crowned Private Drive Champion at the Bucks Counties Spectacular and securing his ticket to the Horse of the Year Show is a moment we’ll never forget.

So much hard work goes on behind the scenes to produce these ponies, which makes days like this even more special 🤍

Fred Vyse and Stapleford Come What May qualified at Bucks Spectacular for Harness Horse and Pony of the Year Championship HOYS 2026
Stapleford Come What May is a hackney pony and has transitioned from being Novice Champion last year in wagon classes to private Driving. He is owned & produced by Stapleford Hackney Stud and driven by Fred Vyse, the qualified at their 2nd qualifying show too!

What an achievement for this very special pony!

Watching the partnership between Fred Vyse and Stapleford Come What May is an absolute privilege - their presence, precision and style in the ring are something truly special ❤️

Also a huge thank you to Fred Eastwood for producing Stapleford Come What May so beautifully. To transition a pony from the Hackney ring into the Private Driving ranks so successfully really is a credit to the incredible amount of hard work, dedication and preparation that goes on behind the scenes at home - something we are immensely proud to be part of 🤩

Stapleford No Profit taking 2nd place in the Novice Hackney Pony Class at Beechwood Equestrian Centre 🥈

We couldn’t be prouder of this pony - improving with every outing and growing in confidence each time he steps into the wagon. Only his second show in harness and he’s already showing the progress we’ve been hoping for.

Excited to see what the rest of the season has in store for Tony the Pony! ✨🐴

As the days get longer and the sound of training starts to fill the air, we can’t help but feel the excitement building for the 2026 Hackney Horse Society season.
But before we make our first tracks of the new year, we want to take a moment to celebrate the incredible talent that graced the ring last season. Our 2025 Champions set the bar high, showcasing the spectacular action, elegance, and "heart" that makes the Hackney truly unique.
