✨️ Fun Facts ✨️
🐾 Binturongs are famous for their unique scent, often compared to freshly buttered popcorn!
🐾 Also known as Bearcats, they are native to the rainforests of South-East Asia and are related to civets, genets, and fossas.
🐾 Wild populations have declined by around 30% over the last 18 years, and they are currently listed as Vulnerable on the IUCN Red List.
🐾 They are one of only two carnivores with a prehensile tail, which acts like an extra limb to help them climb through the trees.
Every species plays an important role in our ecosystems, and raising awareness is a vital step towards protecting their future 💚
