🌏 World Binturong Day | 9th May 2026

Today is dedicated to raising awareness for the rare and endangered Binturong — a fascinating yet often overlooked species. Now in its 12th year, World Binturong Day shines a spotlight on the challenges these incredible animals face in the wild and the importance of their conservation.

✨️ Fun Facts ✨️
🐾 Binturongs are famous for their unique scent, often compared to freshly buttered popcorn!
🐾 Also known as Bearcats, they are native to the rainforests of South-East Asia and are related to civets, genets, and fossas.
🐾 Wild populations have declined by around 30% over the last 18 years, and they are currently listed as Vulnerable on the IUCN Red List.
🐾 They are one of only two carnivores with a prehensile tail, which acts like an extra limb to help them climb through the trees.
Every species plays an important role in our ecosystems, and raising awareness is a vital step towards protecting their future 💚

Hello followers 👋
We are unfortunately having to downsize our collection of animals, so we are selling our royal python, cornsnake and one of our leopard geckos.

If you are interested in one of them please see links below.

This is so hard for us to have to do this but we would rather them go to a nice good home, than go to a rescue to not be rehomed for ages.
