✨ Start 2026 the Right Way – Clinic Series with Paulo Santos ✨

A new year is the perfect time to reset, refocus, and start your training with clear direction and purpose. If you’re looking to build stronger foundations, develop your horse correctly, and set yourself up for a successful season ahead, I’m delighted to be hosting a series of dressage clinics with Paulo Santos.

These clinics will run throughout January and February at my yard in Stapleford Abbotts, Essex, finishing with a two-day clinic with optional stabling in Buckinghamshire in March to round off the series.

About Paulo Santos
Paulo is a Grand Prix dressage rider who has:
• Developed horses from young horse level through to Grand Prix
• Built a reputation for teaching riders how to make their horses strong, correct, and physically capable of the work required at each level.
* His approach is systematic, horse-focused, and designed to create longevity and confidence in both horse and rider.

My personal experience
I’ve trained with Paulo for the past four years, and his impact on my riding and horses has been huge. When I first met him, I had never ridden more than a BD Prelim test. With Paulo’s coaching, I now have two of my own horses competing at PSG level. That progress has been achieved purely through correct training, structure, and consistency under his guidance — which is why I’m so pleased to be able to host him here.

Clinic options
• Clinics can be booked individually, or
• As a full training series, finishing with the two-day clinic in March

Pricing
• £80 per 45-minute individual session
• Discounted pricing available for riders booking the full clinic series plus the two-day camp

Happy New Year All 🥳🥂❤️

2025 was truly a year of growth. It’s been about shedding what I no longer needed — the year of the snake — and setting the foundations for what’s next. Now for 2026, the year of the horse: building momentum, setting clear goals, and pushing forward with purpose.

When I look back at how this year started compared to how it’s ending, the difference is huge. It hasn’t been easy, but it has been transformative — and I’m so grateful for my horses, my clients, and everyone who has been part of the journey.

As I head into 2026, I feel more motivated and focused than ever. This year has given me belief, direction, and a real sense of purpose. I know what I’m working towards, I know the standard I want to hold myself to, and I’m excited to keep building on the foundations laid this year.

There are big goals ahead, plenty of hard work to be done, and no shortcuts — but that’s exactly how I like it. I’m ready to keep pushing, keep learning, and keep striving to be better for my horses and the people I work with. It feels good starting this year with the best team of loyal and kind hearted people around me 🙌🏻

2025 reminded me why I do this.
2026 is about momentum, ambition, and seeing just how far we can go. 🐎✨

Flying by the seat of my pants really does seem to be my trademark.
Yesterday, very much at the last minute, I decided to see if I could get a late entry to PSG at Felbridge Showground today. This was quite literally the final opportunity to try and qualify Sanson for the Winter Area Festivals. One chance, no pressure 😂

Sanson has been feeling exceptional in the lead-up to Christmas, and the thought of taking Guapero to the Area Festivals in February while leaving Sanson at home, when he’s going so well and genuinely loves his job, just didn’t sit right with me. He adores going out and doing his “pony parties”, so I felt he deserved the chance.

Today, Sanson went out and completed his second ever PSG test and achieved his second qualifying score. At eight years old. A horse I have produced entirely myself, from backing him through every step of his education. I still can’t quite believe it.

What amazes me most is how straightforward PSG feels for him. He already knows the test so well that today he actually made mistakes by offering changes before they were required — completely in character, just trying to do the job for me. The judge even came up afterwards, told me how much he loved him, gave him a 10 for enthusiasm, and said you can clearly see how much he enjoys his work… he simply needs to wait until he’s asked. I couldn’t have wished for lovelier feedback.

Freezing cold, a brand-new showground, last horse of the day, warming up completely on his own — and he behaved like an absolute professional throughout.

To achieve in two PSG outings what I’ve been building towards with Guapero over the last two years is something I’m incredibly proud of. And to be able to say, as this year comes to a close, that both of my horses are qualified for the BD Winter Area Festivals at PSG feels very special indeed.

As always the biggest thank you to my team, Paulo for everything you have taught me and Sanson, Holly for all of the work you have done on helping me get Sansons body strong and Emily for all of the PEMf sessions you have been giving him in the last few months 💪🏻🙌🏻

Sanson, My Espanol Locos, My Best Friend and now my PSG horse ❤️ what a way to end the year 🥳

🏵️ You win your rosettes at home, you just go to shows to collect them 🏵️

These three ladies have been on such special journeys this year, and I couldn’t be prouder of them.

When we set our goals earlier this year, we started with honest ambitions, an agreement to work hard and to believe that anything can be achieved if you try.

The goals were:

✨ Toni & Bubble – qualify for Novice Winter Area Festivals
✨ Mily & Lorcan – qualify for Prelim Winter Area Festivals
✨ Emily & Luna – the original goal was to compete at a BD competition for the very first time. Which after achieving a qualifying score at their first ever show turned into qualify for Prelim Winter Area Festivals

Three very different horse and rider combinations. Three very different journeys. Three very different challenges. But one common theme – setting goals, putting the work in, and trusting the process.

These ladies put so much time, love, care and attention into their horses, and it shows. Over the last year, each of them has improved massively, and now they’re truly reaping the rewards of all that hard work.

At the start of 2026, we’ll all be heading to Area Festivals together ✨

I am just so, so proud. There is nothing better as a trainer than seeing the progress made at home shine through in the competition arena. It’s such a privilege to be part of these journeys and to watch confidence grow alongside results.

Thank you to all three of you for trusting me, for working so hard, and for letting me be part of something really special. I’ve absolutely loved training you over the last year, and I can’t wait to see what the next chapter brings 🤍✨

Super proud trainer moment 🙌🏻
