Mabel the gorgeous Bernedoodle knows the drill when she comes in for her 6 monthly checks which is just one of the many benefits of belonging The Healthy Pet Club.
She says a quick hello to us all then on the scales just to make sure she is maintaining a healthy weight for her breed. Don’t worry Mabel our lips are sealed and you look amazing.

This gorgeous girl Bramble came in recently for her neutering procedure. She was looked after by our lovely nurse Shannon who is known to us all as the crazy spaniel mad loving nurse, mainly because she has 3 in her family. Bramble was such a well behaved, brave girl and gained the nickname Goldilocks because of her unique colourings. Such a pretty girl ………

☀️🐾 Hot Weather Safety for Pets 🐾☀️

Unlike us, pets don’t understand the dangers of hot weather — they rely on us to keep them safe. We control their environment, water, and exercise… and sadly, heat stroke can develop quickly and is often fatal, even with veterinary treatment.

🐰Keeping Your Rabbit Cool:
🌳 Move hutches into the shade or indoors
💦 Freeze water bottles and wrap them in towels for rabbits to lean against
🍃 Ensure good ventilation and avoid direct sun exposure

🐱 Helping Your Cat Beat the Heat:
🏠 Keep them indoors during the hottest part of the day
💦 Place multiple water bowls around the home
🧊 Offer ice cubes in their water or as toys to bat around

💧 Top Tips to Keep Your Dog Cool:
🐕 Walk early in the morning or late in the evening
💦 Provide constant access to fresh, cool water
🛑 Avoid hot pavements – if it’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for their paws
🏡 Ensure shady rest areas and never leave them in a car

🔥 Remember: If your pet shows signs of heat stroke excessive panting, drooling, weakness, vomiting, confusion, or collapse treat it as an emergency. Call your vet immediately.
