⚠️Grass seed awareness⚠️

Grass seeds can cause a lot of pain for dogs, especially if they get stuck in paws, ears, or eyes after a run through long grass.

Look out for signs like:
◾️Constant licking or limping
◾️Shaking their head or rubbing their ear
◾️Sneezing fits or sore, swollen eyes

Left untreated, a grass seed can even work its way under the skin and may require surgery to remove it!

If you have any concerns about your furry friend, please contact the surgery🩺🐾.

🌞Tick season is among us and these tiny troublemakers are making their presence known! Especially at this time of year, it’s important more than ever to check your pets after walks.

Where do ticks love to hide?🙈
✅ Around the eyes
✅ Inside the ears
✅ Under the collar
✅ Between the toes
✅ Near the ge****ls (awkward…we know but important!)

Don’t let ticks hitch a ride—check, remove, and protect. Need prevention advice? We can help!

Get in touch with the surgery if you have any questions🐾

Everyone meet Onyx, he was brought in this morning as he wasn’t himself and was drooling a lot after going missing for 36hours!

Lizzie gave him a full check over and noticed that something looked a bit odd in his mouth.

He was admitted for a general anaesthetic to examine his mouth and a large bone from a carcass was wedged on his lower teeth!

He’s now feeling much more comfortable!

Please see the comments section for a video of the removal!
