As a reminder, we are open this coming bank holiday Monday at the Spencer’s wood surgery for urgent and emergency cases (out of hours fee applies). Normal opening hours tomorrow morning (appointments available 9-1) at Spencers Wood.

Everyone meet Onyx, he was brought in this morning as he wasn’t himself and was drooling a lot after going missing for 36hours!

Lizzie gave him a full check over and noticed that something looked a bit odd in his mouth.

He was admitted for a general anaesthetic to examine his mouth and a large bone from a carcass was wedged on his lower teeth!

He’s now feeling much more comfortable!

EASTER COMPETITION WINNER ANNOUNEMENT!

🐱 There were 2 correct answers for the cat prize, therefore we used a random name generator and the winner is....... KELLY LOUISE TRUSSLER

🐶As there were no correct answers for the dog prize we selected the closest guess, who was KERRY AYRES.

Happy Easter to all our patients and clients! As a reminder we are open for urgent and emergency cases today at the Spencers Wood branch (out of hours fee applies).
Normal opening hours tomorrow morning (appointments available 9-1) at Spencers Wood.
We will not be open on Easter Sunday.
Easter Monday we will again have a vet on call during the day, working from the Tutts Clump surgery.

Valley Veterinary Group is a well established, independent practice in West Berkshire. Across our three sites in Bradfield, Pangbourne and Spencers Wood we offer a high quality service for our lovely clients with a friendly team ethos.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, efficient individual to join our well established team. A good sense of humour is essential and the ability to work well as part of a team

Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting in theatre, including monitoring anaesthesia
Post operative monitoring and inpatient care
Conducting a variety of nurse clinics
Assisting with diagnostic imaging
Running in-house laboratory testing- full in-house Idexx suite at each branch
Maintaining high standards of infection control and hygiene
Reception duties

What Valley Veterinary Group has to offer:
Full time position – 37.5 or 40 hour working week
4 or 5 day week
No OOH / on call requirements
1:4 Saturday mornings (8.30am to 1.30pm)
Flexible CPD allowance

We have had a little female Jack Russell Terrier handed into our Pangbourne practice. Unfortunately, she has no microchip so we are unable to find the owners.

Meet Dali 🐈

Dali unfortunately found herself in a bit of a ‘sticky’ situation recently. Thankfully she is now out of the ‘woods’ and has made a full recovery only having used 1 of her 9 lives👩‍⚕️🩻.
