What a beautiful and clever boy 🐾🥰 this 13mth CollieX rescue is 🤩! (from Diane Brimblecombe)

He has been struggling with overwhelm when people come into the home and what to do with his extra energy and brain power 😜. This week we also began his journey to be more aware of a human being at the other end of the lead 🫣🤣🤣. Boy did he smash 💥 the session this week as did his older human ‘brother’.

Super proud of the patience and commitment of his guardians 🙏🏼🤩 to his training. He is doing brilliantly ❤️🥳xx

This little girl 🐾💕(9mth Cocker) has come on leaps and bounds 🤩. She was super shy and nervous about the world outside her home.

Her amazing ⭐️😘 hoomans asked for help building her confidence to venture beyond the front door and go for a walk 🐾❤️‍🩹. We started looking at ‘consent’ & body language…giving her the choice to say ‘I’m not sure’ and not pressuring her. Then we worked on the ‘handling’ of harnesses/leads etc and the front door. We interspersed this with ‘curiosity’ games just on the other side of the door. We included her human brothers which she loved 🥰. Along with modelling from a known dog she has slowly started to get braver around noises, cars and buses. Her journey continues as her world slowly opens up. Super proud of this gorgeous girl 🐾🤩🫶

Super proud of this adolescent rescue 🐾❤️‍🩹🤩 boy (from FMNRR) and his hoomans (foster-adopt)!

The time, love and consistency has enabled him to begin the process of walking in busier streets and going to visit his favourite barista 😜🤣.

It was tough in the beginning as he had been kennelled for a long time ❤️‍🩹 before he found is forever home. So was overwhelmed and super excited by the world out there. He pulled like a freight train and visiting was a parkour event 🫣😬🤣🤣🤣. But his guardians have been showing him ‘set-ups’ so that he can be a bit more gentle with his enthusiasm! Just super super proud of the journey these three are on 🙏🏼🐾🤩🤩🤩😘!!

This little one stole my heart 🐾💓 (9mth MaltiPoo) … on my last visit with her at the park she blew me away with how full of confidence she was 🤩!!

When I first saw her she was shy … and barky around other dogs outside. We worked on her amazing hoomans leash handling, slowing the walk down, letting her sniff loads … it’s not the length of the walk but the quality 😁🌺.

Super proud of you guys ⭐️⭐️🤩xx

What a beautiful soul this rescue (from FMNRR) Dalmatian 🐾💕 boy is!! His hoomans (Foster-Adopt) have really thrown themselves into training.

What I love about FMNRR is that they invest in the foster phase, so that the rescue dog has a greater chance of staying adopted 🙏🏼⭐️🫶!!

He pulled like a freight-train … a strong boy!! We worked on his connection with his new prospective family, counter surfing at the dinner table as he is so tall 🫣😜🤣🤣, loose leash walking and other dogs.

There is still a way to go … but with the commitment 🤩🫶💪of his family who absolutely adore him 💕 he is bound to flourish 😘.

Just love this gorgeous boy 🐾💕⭐️ (10mth Lab - working line) … he is super smart!!! His amazing guardians have been super committed 🙏🏼🤩🥳!

I’ve known him since he was a pup & his guardians noticed the ‘adolescent’ phase (cloth eared 🙄😜🤣🤣)beginning! He has been working on greetings, loose leash walking and his sudden aversion to jumping into the car.

The adolescent phase … is about finding less overwhelming environments to train. Often lowering your expectations…going back to the basics whilst their brain & hormones undergo their biggest change.

Be kind to yourselves ❤️‍🩹, laugh it off with a glass of wine 🍷😜… or 3!! Use enclosed fields, or non trigger walks, shorten training sessions … consider other types of low arousal training. It’s a phase … it will pass! You’ve got this adolescent dog parents 🫶💪🐾💕xx

Awww 🥰 🐾🐾🤩 these two ‘monkeys’ (Teenage Dachsies) 😜😘 … smashed training today (as did their ‘dad’)!

They have been on a journey with cats, people coming into the home and today started to realise a hooman 🫣🤣🤣 was attached to the other end of the lead 🥳⭐️!

We looked at ‘dad’s’ leash communication, how we can use our body to help our dogs understand what direction we want them to walk, what to do when we stop or see other people & dogs. They had lots of praise/reward, encouragement and connection whilst meeting their needs to be … dogs 🙏🏼🐾🐾💕!!

Bonnie (aka Bon-ba-lom) 1yr old Bichon … 🐾🌟💕had another days visit! She is a FMNRR little one! She is such a love-bug 😍, fun and smart!

We did a little training, had lots of socialisation with different ages of hoomans, enrichment and a short walk 🤩🐾😘xx

I am just super proud 😍 of this little girl’s (4yr Hungarian Puli) progress 🐾🌟!!

When I first met her, her responsible and amazing 🤩 hoomans had muzzle trained her. So I met her muzzled and with BIG fearful emotions ❤️‍🩹.

Very quickly we began to show her ‘predictable’ handling whilst meeting her needs through patterns and breed specific’fun’.

Yes there will be ups and downs but each week, month, year showing up like her guardians do … helps her on her journey 🙏🏼🐾🌟😘xx

Super proud of this brave boy 🐾🌟💕 (12mth Bulgarian rescue) … who started his journey to being more comfortable walking to his hoomans car, jumping into and being there even if for a few minutes 🐾🌟🎉🎉!

He has overcome his worries about leaving his home and now loves long walks with his big sister dog 😘!

His guardians have taken their time with each element really reading his body language 🙏🏼🌟🌟💕!! Always training at his pace 🐾🎉xx
