One of the questions we’re most often asked is whether we can help arrange cremation.

The answer is yes — and it’s something we take great care in.

We work closely with a carefully chosen partner, Rainbow Bridge Pet Funerals, run by James and Michelle, who provide exceptional, compassionate care to pets and their families across Manchester. Their standards are incredibly high, and we trust them completely to look after your pet with the dignity and respect they deserve.

In loving memory of Benton 💚

Caroline reached out to us this week, having trusted us previously to care for her beloved Peggy.

Sadly, Benton—Peggy’s brother—had become unwell, and the difficult decision was made to let him go peacefully.

We visited Benton at home, where he was able to pass calmly and comfortably, surrounded by his loving family. He now rests alongside Peggy on the farm where they spent their lives together. 🌈❤️

It’s not always an easy job, but moments like this remind us why we do it. 💚

Being invited into a home at such a difficult time is a privilege we never take lightly. Home euthanasia allows pets to pass peacefully in a familiar place, surrounded by the people who love them most.

Remembering Radley 🤍

Radley was a much-loved member of his family, and it was a privilege to support them at home as they said goodbye.

His family kindly shared:

“We can’t thank James enough for everything he did when we had to let our beloved Radley go. He gave Radley lots of cuddles beforehand and gave us the reassurance we needed, answering every question with kindness and compassion. At a really sad time he made everything that slight bit easier. You gave Radley the most peaceful, dignified send off we could have wished for.”

🌿 In Loving Memory of Buck Rogers 🌿

Recently, we had the privilege of supporting Buck Rogers and his family at home as they said their final goodbye.

Buck was deeply loved and surrounded by his family in the comfort of his own home. It was an honour for James to help him pass peacefully and with dignity, ensuring his final moments were calm, gentle, and filled with love.

To Buck’s family — thank you for trusting us at such a tender time. Our thoughts are with you as you remember a truly special boy.

Another success story for James at his clinic.

James diagnosed and drained a pericardial effusion from this lovely boy Rusti. A pericardial effusion is a dangerous build up of fluid around the heart which causes heart failure and breathing difficulties.

Using ultrasound, James drained around 800ml in total of fluid from Rusti, stabilising him. Rusti has made a full recovery and is back at home now ❤️

We’re proud to share this post from his practice, where he recently diagnosed and successfully treated a GDV in Zeus — a serious and life-threatening condition requiring immediate emergency surgery. Zeus’s story is a wonderful example of the skill, dedication, and compassion that James brings to his work every day
