Look at all these adorable faces waiting for Santa 🎅 Paws 🐾 tonight!! They have all been good little pups 🐶 and deserve a Christmas 🎄 treat tomorrow.

The salon doors have closed for the year. 🛁 We want to thank everyone for another year of waggy tails, sloppy kisses, and endless amounts of dog hair! ✂️ As well as all the festive gifts, cards, tips and well wishes, they are much appreciated.

📆 Izzy will be back in the salon from the 12th January, and I will be busy arranging block bookings over the holiday, so please bear with me whilst I juggle everything. 📆

The Elves have been busy in the salon🎄 The decs are up, and Izzy has been even busier pampering all your pooches 🛁🧼 Some of the happy hounds who have been to visit are: Flossie, Frankie, Mabel, Izzy, Benji, Paddy, Tallulah, Scout, Maisie, Bess, Tilly, Monty & Molly🐾

📅 We are currently fully booked on the countdown to the big day 🎅 but are running a cancellation list. We are taking bookings for the year ahead and anyone who would like block bookings, I will be in touch in the coming weeks to arrange. 📅

Well, what a past few weeks it has been 🐾👶🍼 I want to thank all of our lovely customers for being so patient in shuffling appointments around to suit Izzy's schedule but also for being so warm and welcoming. 📆

Even though Izzy has been with us since last October ✂️ she has done an amazing job making the leap in taking over 👏 And just look at all these gorgeous faces she has had to visit recently. Utterly Paw-geous! 🐾🛁🧼🐶

I had not anticipated writing this so soon! 🍼 But I'd like to let all of my lovely clients know of the arrival of our new baby boy Arthur 🤍

He made a 5 week early appearance on the 19.08.25 weighing just 5lb 3oz ⚖️ We are back home and doing well despite the shock of meeting him so soon. 🏡

Groomer Izzy has been keeping everything going in The Barn ✂️ and doing an amazing job pampering all your pups 🛁 I want to say thank you to all of those so far who have moved appointments and for your patience as I get back to grips with the admin.

Going forward, I will be in touch with our block booked clients to tweak appointment times due to Izzys schedule.

Thank you for all your support as ever, we wouldn't be doing what we love without you! 🩵✂️🛁🐾🫧

🎉Happy Hounds is 10 years old! .. and a bit 🎉

In the month of May, it was our ten year business anniversary. 🏅 How it's flown! And upon reflection, how much has changed. I started off in one room of my grandparents' outbuilding near Splash Point in Rhyl. ✂️ I stayed there for just shy of 5 years, then converted the barn at my new home in Prestatyn, we've been here now just over 5 years. 🛁 It just shows Rome wasn't built in a day.

Our beautiful barn is steeped in its own history of previously working as a clock repair workshop ⏰️ and as a French furniture polishers.

We have welcomed so many amazing dogs 🐕 and people through our doors. Not only clients but volunteers, work experience students, our lovely table renters, and most recently, our fantastic apprentice Izzy! 🧼

It's also been a tough year, having lost my Grandma in the spring. I mention this as many of you were so fond of her waving at the window and greeting so many of you on your visits. ❤️ We also had to say goodnight to our family dog Bertie. 💙

It's taken hard work and dedication 🛠 on our part but also the loyalty of our clients coming back to us over and over again. For this, I am forever grateful to you for keeping this dream of mine alive. 🌟

We have exciting times ahead in welcoming baby no.2 to the family in September 👶 🍼 👣

So here's to the next 10 years! 🥂 I can't wait to see what it has in store for us.
