Drop off your dog to be groomed in a quiet, friendly home environment here in Prestatyn. Mobile grooming takes place in your home, aimed for owners with housebound pets, nervy pets or customer and non-drivers (or alternatively you could arrange for an animal taxi to drop your pet off here). Note: Mobile grooming, pick up and drop offs are now limited to weekends so please book well in advance. For puppies and nervy dogs - we offer a, 10/15 minutes weekly pre-appointment acquainting your dog to the grooming table and equipment, here at Big Hairy Dog Groomers. (Please ensure your puppy is fully inoculated before attending). Aabbotts Hairy Dog Groomers caters for all breeds, all sizes (unfortunately we DO NOT groom Guard Dogs of any breed or nature whether it, be Service Dogs or residential). Grooming Services we offer:- • Breed style or style of your choice. • Pre-brushing to loosen dirt. • Selection of Professional grooming shampoos and conditioners. Coat whitening shampoo. Puppy shampoo. • Eyes and ears gently cleaned. • Ears – internal hair removed • Nails trimmed starting from £6.00 (nails included in the full groom free of charge). • Handheld dryer or Blaster. • Deep conditioning treatment - for poor coats. • De-shedding treatment- take out shedding undercoat. • Full Grooming with Clippers. • Full Grooms with Hand Sc******ng. • Hand Stripping. • Alternative dog washing for dogs that don’t like bathtubs or preferred to be bathed outside. • De-flea. • A**l Glands expressed (cleared). • Bath, Brush, and drying. Detangling removal of matts. Ashamed you've let your dog get so matted and do not know what to do. Please ring and I will try my best to sort it out - Consultation advisable. The more time you leave it, there more painful it is for your dog!!!! How Long Does A Groom Take? Common question how long does it take to groom a dog? Grooming on a one to one bases, a full groom takes 2-4 hours on average depending on the breed, dogs’ health, coat type and condition. Not all dogs keep still or will stand up to be groomed for many reasons:- elderly, overweight, nervous, numerous matts or just happy and wriggly, this can take extra time. TERMS & CONDITIONS Abbotts Hairy Dog Groomers reserves the right to refuse to groom any dog for the safety of the groomer and dog. The owner agrees to inform Big Hairy Dog Groomers prior to their appointment if the dog has bitten or has aggressive tendencies such as growling, bearing teeth and biting. The owner understands that they may be held liable for any serious deep bites caused by their dog. Cancellations Cancelling/rescheduling of your appointment. Please give 24 hours notice by phone otherwise you could be charged half the price of your grooming appointment and a non refundable deposit maybe required to hold any future grooming appointment(s). Late collections – dog(s) should be collected within 1 hour of the collection time given, otherwise there could be a £5.00 charge for every hour over. Booking System 1. Once you have decided where you want your dog to be groomed here or at your home. 2. Contact us by Phone, text or Facebook with a selection of available times and dates. We will need to know the breed or breed type (big or small), age of the dog and a brief on the coat condition, what Dog Grooming Service you require. Owners with multiple dogs are advised to book in advance and a non- refundable deposit will be requested to hold their appointment at busy times of the year. 3. Do not to feed your dog before a grooming appointment. 4. When you arrive. Please ensure your dog is on a secure collar and lead. We don’t mind if your dog pees and poops on our garden it can be picked up. 5. There’s a small Health Questionnaire to complete - don’t forget your specs. 6. With the owners approval, the groomer likes to reward your pet for good behavior, with a dog treat. 7. I will contact you when your dog is ready so please do not wait outside my house this only distracts your dog and takes longer to groom. Thank You and we look forward to meeting you both.
