That's a wrap for my time with Sox and Oreo... for now! ❤️

These two gorgeous brothers have been an absolute pleasure to care for over the past week. Gentle, sweet Sox has been my little shadow, always ready for cuddles, fuss and a cosy nap, while Oreo has stolen plenty of hearts with his squeaky greetings, affectionate kisses and cheeky personality.

They've spent their days sunbathing, chasing flies, watching birds, enjoying their favourite treats and, of course, keeping me entertained with their brotherly antics. We even survived the infamous "Pigeongate" incident! 🐦😹

One of the things I love most about pet sitting is getting to know each animal's unique personality, and these boys couldn't be more different despite being brothers. Together, they make the perfect pair.

I'll miss seeing Oreo sprint through the cat flap when he knows I'm there and Sox running over for his daily fusses.

Until next time, boys. Thank you for the cuddles, the laughs and the memories. ❤️🐾

Another lovely visit with Oreo and Sox this evening. ❤️

Oreo has really become quite affectionate with me during my time with them. As soon as he knows I'm here, he'll come darting through the cat flap and greet me with his little squeaks. He then makes it very clear that I need to get down on the floor immediately for cuddles, chin scratches and plenty of kisses! He's such a sweet boy. He can be a little boisterous at times, but only in that endearing way that makes him even more lovable.

Sox is still the gentle, sleepy soul we all know and love. He's such a calm presence and always happy to enjoy some fuss and company in between his naps.

It's my penultimate day tomorrow, and I have to admit I'll miss both brothers dearly when my visits come to an end. They've been an absolute pleasure to look after. 🥰

Keeping cool with Oreo & Sox this week ☀️🐾

With the warmer weather sticking around, both boys have been enjoying the cooler spots in the house and garden — and Oreo, of course, is still making sure he samples everyone else’s dinner after finishing his own first 😂

A little reminder for fellow cat parents during the heat:
🐱 Keep fresh water topped up (some cats even enjoy a few ice cubes added)
🐱 Cooling mats can be brilliant for shaded nap spots
🐱 Freeze cat yoghurts or treats for a little cooling snack
🐱 Keep curtains closed during the hottest parts of the day
🐱 Make sure there are shaded areas indoors and outside if safe to do so

Cats are experts at finding the coolest place possible… usually somewhere you were just about to sit 😅

May has been such a special month for Becky Wells Pet Sitting 💛

From a playful and affectionate dog to sleepy senior cats, mischievous kittens and some very spoiled felines… I’ve honestly loved every minute.

This month’s gorgeous gang included:
🐾 Popcorn & Zorro
🐾 Princess Leia
🐾 Ernie the dachshund mix
🐾 Casper, Cheeto, Socks & Misty (plus her three tiny babies!)
🐾 Ernie the cat
🐾 Sox & Oreo

Every pet has their own little personality and routine, and it’s such a privilege being trusted to care for them in their own homes while their humans are away.
There have been garden zoomies, fly hunting, Dreamies, stick treats, Netflix cuddles, head boops, bleps, kitten chaos and lots and lots of affection along the way 🐶🐱

To all of my lovely clients — thank you for trusting me with your babies. And to all of my furry little friends… thank you for making this “job” feel far too enjoyable to be called work.

Here’s to another busy month ahead 💛

Everyone say hello to Sox and Oreo 🐾

Sox is the handsome grey boy who has completely melted me by running over for fussing every time I arrive. His little squeaky meow is so adorable!
Honestly, it’s impossible not to smile when you’ve got a fluffy little cat trotting towards you for attention 🥹

Oreo, meanwhile, is very much his own man. He loves a fuss too… but on Oreo terms only, of course 😂 He also likes to keep a very close eye on what everyone else is eating, despite having exactly the same dinner.

Both boys are also huge fans of their stick treats and any other naughty little sweets they can convince me to hand over. The second the treats appear, suddenly I become the most important person in the world 🤍🖤

With the weather being so warm lately, I’ve been keeping the curtains closed during the day to help keep the house nice and cool for them, which thankfully seems to be working really well. They’ve still had plenty of energy for chasing flies around the garden this evening too ☀️

A little weekend spent with this wonderfully chaotic, overly affectionate bunch 🐾🤍

Casper perfected the art of lounging dramatically in the sunshine looking like he pays the mortgage, Cheeto followed me around like a tiny orange supervisor making sure all standards were maintained, and Socks — the distinguished gentleman nearing retirement — spent his days stretched out on the pavement outside the house like the neighbourhood watch manager 😅

And then there’s beautiful Misty, navigating first-time motherhood with her three tiny babies. She’s been so gentle and loving with them all.

Honestly, this lot are ridiculously affectionate. Cheeto and Casper were very generous with their little licks and head boops, Misty loved a fuss in between mum duties, and there was no shortage of purring, cuddles and cats appearing on my lap before I’d even sat down properly.
My personal space didn’t stand a chance this weekend… and I loved every second of it 🥹🐈

From one Ernie to another 🖤🐾

After spending time with Ernie the Dachshund, today I popped in to visit Ernie the cat — who some of you may remember from previous sits!

His signature move is still dramatically flopping onto the driveway for attention the second he sees me 😂 and of course, the little tongue is permanently sticking out which somehow makes him even more adorable.

I absolutely love getting to revisit familiar furry faces and seeing all their funny little quirks again. Ernie definitely has personality in abundance 🥰

Three days of cuddles, TV time, hot dog sausages and the happiest little smiley face imaginable 🥹🐾

It’s my last day with Ernie today and he has honestly been such a joy to house sit for. From curling up beside me on the sofa for Netflix nights, to giving out endless kisses and those adorable little happy smiles, he’s made himself completely at home in my heart.

He’s such an affectionate boy and has loved every bit of fuss, every cuddle, and of course… every sausage snack 😂🌭

I’m definitely going to miss this sweet little face following me around and snuggling up close.

Last night with Ernie was pure bliss 🐾🤍

This little gentleman slept right through the night, curled up beside me after an evening of Netflix, cuddles and complete relaxation. I don’t think I moved for hours because I didn’t want to disturb him 😭

There’s something so special about gaining a dog’s trust so quickly. One minute you’re strangers, the next you’re sharing the bed and having sleepy snuggles like old friends.

Honestly… who says this is a job? ✨

Meet gorgeous little Ernie 🐾

I’m currently spending the next three days house sitting with this handsome dachshund mix and honestly… it’s been the most relaxing start to the week.

Ernie is such an affectionate, loving boy who seems happiest curled up beside you for a cuddle or gently asking for attention with those big soulful eyes. He’s settled in beautifully and has already mastered the art of making himself comfortable on the sofa while I keep him company.

Safe to say I’m a little smitten already 🤍
