Meet lovely Milo 🐾❀️
Milo's Paw-rents requested to see a physiotherapist after concerns over his ongoing struggles with hip and back arthritis. In Milo's session we discussed his current levels of exercise, diet and medications and came up with a plan to work towards him being more comfortable whilst enjoying walks and moderated activity.
Milo was anxious to start but by the end we had some lovely snuggles whilst he allowed me to do some massage.
I look forward to continuing to work with handsome Milo and his family! πŸ₯°

So why veterinary physiotherapy? πŸ€”

Like humans, animals may require physiotherapy for a multitude of reasons! The main focus' of a veterinary physiotherapist is to;

🐾 Reduce pain/discomfort
🐾 Improve mobility
🐾 Aid and accelerate recovery from an injury or operation
🐾 Help prevent health problems later in life
🐾 Enhance animals' quality of life

This can therefore be applicable to a multitude of conditions both acute and chronic, and also be utilised to enhance performance for working or sports animals. Another passion of mine is to aid in Paw-rents education on any diagnoses or concerns.

If you think your pet could benefit from seeing a physiotherapist, please get in touch! πŸ˜ΈπŸ•πŸ’•

Hello! My name is Sam and I have been a working veterinary physiotherapist for the last 5.5 years - I am an animal lover and have turned my passion into a rewarding career.

My main experience is with small animals (dogs and cats) where I have treated animals with both acute and chronic conditions including; post-neurological/orthopaedic surgery, post-injury, degenerative conditions such as DM, geriatric conditions such as OA and strengthening and conditioning for working animals. I also enjoy working with leisure horses and have experience in chronic pain and post-surgical management.

Please give me a message if you have any queries - I am currently taking on clients in the Dorset/Poole/Bournemouth area. And check out my website!
