Be prepared for Winter riding-particularly Pony days!

Pony day parents/riders -please remember to bring a spare set of clothes in a named bag, so that the children can change when needed.
Always ensure your rider wears plenty of layers tops and bottoms, thermals if possible, waterproofs, 2 pairs of socks and definitely a warm coat & gloves please.
Warm drinks and soup are also beneficial!
Ponies still need looking after during the Winter, but being prepared yourself is always key!
Thank you, Paula & Carrie-ann

πŸ’œ Ranger πŸ’œ My one in a million!
This is also the main part of the story behind New Range!
❀️Ranger’s Anniversary-Rest in Peace 35 years old 14/09/1996 ❀️
At 4.05p.m 29 years ago I held you in my arms for the last time while you went to sleep. One of the hardest days of my life. I miss you so much.X
Ranger was my first pony and one in a million.
He taught me so much and was my very best friend,he was and always will be so very special. He saw me from meeting him as a little girl at 3 years old, becoming mine when I was 10 years old, thank you to my Mum RIPπŸ’•( I went out to earn his keep from then onwards)
He saw me in my teenage years and I was lucky enough to have him into my adulthood. Mainly because of him and what I saw him go through at a β€œtypical riding school” is what made me determined there was a better way to do this. Where in a school environment ponies are still treated lovingly as an individual and all their needs met. With lots of tlc,not overworked and on autopilot, with playtime everyday and a safe forever home no matter what. Where they have a variety of life and retire with us. It’s where we teach horse-care and management, which I feel is most important and we teach the kindest way to ride.
Throughout the trials and tribulations of life we go on in Ranger’s memory and name as New Range Riding School & Rescue Centre. Rescuing horses, rehabilitating and reschooling them. Teaching hundreds of people a kinder approach and way to ride horses since 1983 in your honour.
Rest easy my beloved boy.❀️
Your ever loving mum Paula ###

πŸ’ŸWho else has some wonderful memories at New Range? We would love to hear and see pics!πŸ’œ

First two pics were taken 2 weeks before losing Ranger, the card is what I wrote after his death. I gave one to all the people who had helped me with him throughout his life. The last pic is where all my dreams came true, when Mum had persuaded everyone involved. It’s where my parents surprised me ,when Ranger came to my party & he finally became mine. (Obviously I wouldn’t ride without a hat & in a dress normally , it was just to capture the moment) X
