What is Physiotherapy?
Physiotherapy involves a full assessment by the Veterinary Physiotherapist; checking joints, musculature, soft tissues and the neurological system. This assessment allows us to identify areas that may be painful, weak or compromised for various reasons. Once the assessment has been carried out then the most suitable treatments will be selected for treatment which may include:
Laser treatment
Therapeutic Ultrasound
Pulsed Magnetic therapy
Kinesiology taping
Massage
Stretching
Range of movement techniques
Exercise prescription
The goal of Physiotherapy is to provide a form of pain relief, maintain tissue health, help maintain or improve range of movement, build strength and keep your pet as fit as possible for as long as possible. The holistic approach can make a huge diffence on the quality of life and comfort of your pet.
If your pet is stiff, painful, has mobility issues, Lameness, arthritis, spinal issues or any skeletal or muscular issue then they’re a candidate for this treatment. At Healing Hands Animal Physiotherapy all treatments are carried out by a Masters level qualified Veterinary Physiotherapist with over 17 years experience in Veterinary Practice, so you know they’re in safe, experienced and qualified hands. Leanne is based inside Peterborough Vets4Pets. You will not need to change your veterinary practice as all communication will be with your current vet.
