It’s that time of year to be very aware of grass seeds in paws. Please please check your dog after a walk to make sure these little grasses are not lodged as they can travel into the leg and onwards. They are painful, and can be fatal. If you think your dog has a grass seed issue please contact your vet.

You may have seen recently the news report of an RSPCA rescue case involving over 250 poodles. The most horrendous conditions resulting in overbreeding.

Today I had the privilege of giving a first time groom to one of these dogs. Arlo has been rescued into the most wonderful family home. His owners have gently and patiently taught Arlo that the world doesn’t have to be a scary place and love is unconditional.

His first groom with me today was amazing. He showed trust and love, and he allowed me to do everything I need to, without fuss or anxiety.

I’m so so proud of him.
