Our Sunny Daze Lovely Lemons accessories are getting lots attention on social media – just ask Pablo and Milo.

Lauren & Ross, proud owners of four-month-old British shorthair kitten Pablo, says they chose he harness because it matches his eyes. Meanwhile Milo’s owner, Millie, has fully embraced the lemon theme.

Millie, who shops at Pets at Home Gloucester, said, “We bought the lemon collection due to the recent hot weather, and we loved the pattern! We knew Milo would love the hat in particular. We're planning to return to buy the matching dog walking accessories too.”

How handsome does Lennie look in our 3 Peaks harness?

One-year-old Lennie is all set for his first ever holiday with owner Millie this summer, and she’s shared his must haves from Pets at Home. She said, “Lennie’s must have summer items are a cooling bandana, paddling pool and, of course, his new 3 Peaks gear! His first holiday is going to be to Paignton in Devon, where he will spend lots of time on walks, at the beach and eating doggy friendly ice cream.”

Today is the start of our annual Pets Foundation summer appeal, and this year we are partnering with Blue Cross UK to help feed local families in need.

We believe that nobody should have to choose between feeding themselves or their pets. That's why this summer we’re working with Blue Cross to help pets stay where they belong: with their families.

To get involved, visit your local Pets at Home store, or you can also donate here: https://brnw.ch/21wUicA

When two tiny kittens were discovered in a bucket of oil by a kind member of public, the team at Vets4Pets Blackwood sprang into action to nurse them back to health.

The six-week-old strays were found in a dark alleyway, covered in oil. The practice team worked tirelessly to clean them up with multiple baths before taking it in turns feeding and caring for the malnourished pair. Vet nurse Laura, who also volunteers for Cats Protection - Gwent Branch even took them home over the evenings and weekend to ensure they received round-the-clock-care before finding their new home.

Practice Manager Clair, who adopted one of the kittens, said, “It was a team effort to look after the kittens while they recovered from their ordeal. They arrived frightened and mistrusting, but with lots of kindness and patience from Laura and the rest of the team, they are now thriving.”

When she’s not saving lives at Vets for Pets Durham vet nurse Kizzy serves as secretary of Sedgefield Young Farmers – which is celebrating its 95th birthday this year.

Kizzy joined the Young Farmers Club at ten, following her family’s long-standing tradition. Growing up on a smallholding and with a love for animals, it was no surprise when she joined Vets for Pets Durham seven years ago to train as a Registered Vet Nurse.

Kizzy said, “Young Farmers is a member-run youth organisation. I love being part of the community and wanted to give back. Everyone is welcome! We do competitions, raise money for charity, and educate about farming. With our 95th anniversary, we’re excited for some big celebrations happening this year!”

Owner Ian will do anything for working cocker puppy Poppy- even dancing in the pool!

We know that you’d do anything for your pets, just like Ian did with ten-month-old cocker spaniel, Poppy. To help keep her cool in hot weather, Ian picked up a paddling pool from Pets at Home Cleethorpes. When Poppy didn’t show much interest at first, Ian decided to show her how much fun it could be.

Ian said, “I’m a bit of a clown, so I put some music on and got in the pool to encourage her. It worked in the end, she loves going in her pool now! She’s getting more and more confident as time goes on.”

Head over to their Instagram to see Ian dancing for Poppy!

Meet Merve the rescue rat, who’s found his forever home with Pets at Home customer Catherine, a lifelong rat enthusiast.

Catherine adopted Merve after spotting him in the Pets Foundation adoption centre in Pets at Home Dorchester. Catherine, who’s owned rats since she was 13 years old, said, “I’ve always loved rats. They’re a big part of our family. We’ve been rescuing them since our children were little. They are so cute, interactive and really clever - you can teach them tricks, and they can even learn their name. It’s fantastic that Pets at Home has an adoption centre. We’re so happy we’re able to give Merve a loving home.”

The Pets Foundation operates over 450 small pet adoption centres inside Pets at Home stores nationwide. These centres provide shelter to pets that need new homes, and we do everything we can to find them a loving new home.

Meet Nala and Dora, who were saved thanks to an emergency caesarean at Vets4Pets Oxford Cowley when their mum, Stormy, encountered difficulties during labour.

When indoor cat Stormy went into labour earlier this year, her family expected a smooth delivery. But after giving birth to her first kitten, Stormy was exhausted, straining, and clearly in distress. Realising she needed urgent help, owner Millena quickly called her local vet practice, where they performed an emergency caesarean – a procedure that is incredibly rare for cats.

Milena said, “From the moment I rang, I felt supported. The team was quick, calm, and incredibly reassuring. I knew right away I’d made the right decision bringing her in. They didn’t just help Stormy; they supported me through one of the most intense moments I’ve encountered as a pet owner. Trust your gut. If something doesn’t feel right, act on it. You’ll never regret putting your pet’s wellbeing first."

Vet Iva, who is the locally based practice owner of Vets for Pets Oxford Cowley, said, “We understand that pets are part of the family, and our goal is always to provide the highest standard of care with empathy and attention to each patients’ unique needs. Stormy’s case is a beautiful example of why we do what we do.”
