Sorry for the non-existent posting. We've been busy lifing and gardening in this glorious sunshine!
Here are some 2x sped up snippets of Baileys groom. Bailey is generally a very good boy, but he does have an aversion to his front feet being touched, and his face being groomed. The bath scrubbing, I promise, is less vigorous without the double speed 😅 I've included a snippet of his face being groomed. There is a lot of moving while I'm doing his head, as of course, he is a good boy and doesn't want to tell me in any stronger way than to move his head, that he'd really rather I didn't have to. Unfortunately for Bailey, I sort of do have to. He has a very hairy face ( like many dogs these days), and if it isn't trimmed regularly, it will get matted and these breeds of dogs often have weepy eyes, and long hair is great at holding all of that eye fluid and creating one big solid lump of hair and dried eye grossness 🙃. Not to mention, he would start to resemble Chewbaca on a bad hair day. I've been grooming Bailey for a while now, so I feel like I know him fairly well on the table. He has never shown any intention of hurting me, or getting overwhelmed, so I trim his face and feet despite his minor objections. His tongue also likes to stick out at varying lengths, adding challenge number 2. I have yet to cut a tongue! Hopefully, I never will (it definitely happens). I hold his head still a couple of ways, he usually lets me get a few snips before pulling away. I let go when he does and rehold. It's important that I have as much control of his a dogs head as I can when doing the face, without upsetting them too much, because I'm obviously working with sharp scissors and animals that don't realise that...
Bailey always hops happily/gets a helping hand hopping into my car as I collect him, and is happy as Larry when I put him down to go home 😄
