Today was all about lovely sister Margot and her little brother Ralphie 🐾💕

Both pups are quite nervous, especially when it comes to grooming, so we took things nice and slowly to help them feel comfortable. We started off by getting to know each other, enjoying a few cuddles and lots of reassurance before heading into the bath.

Ralphie certainly kept me on my toes with a few cheeky escape attempts 🤣, but once we got going both pups did really well. After their bath it was time for drying, where Margot decided she’d much rather get comfy on the table and have a little lie down! Ralphie was incredibly brave too, even if he spent some time trying to hide from the dryer. Before long he settled down beside his big sister and relaxed.

Next up were their grooms. Ralphie just needed a tidy around his face, which he was such a good boy for, and he even let me get a few nails trimmed too — so brave, little man! ⭐

Then it was Margot’s turn. Her owner wanted a shorter look for her, and she looks absolutely amazing. Although she would have happily spent the whole groom lying down, she still did such a fantastic job and was an absolute superstar. 🌟

I am so proud of both Margot and Ralphie today. Facing something that makes you nervous isn’t easy, but they were both incredibly brave and made such great progress. It was so lovely meeting you both, and you’re welcome back anytime for more cuddles and pampering. ❤️🐶

Bon Bon was back in the salon today for her regular pamper session after having her reset groom last time, and I’m so pleased to say she’s grown out beautifully with no matts in sight! 🥰✨

We got straight into the bath for a good scrub and freshen up, getting her coat lovely and clean. Then it was time for drying, which she was super good for, standing patiently while she got all fluffy and fabulous. 🛁💨

Once she was all fluffed up, it was onto her groom. Bon Bon was an absolute superstar throughout, although we did have a little performance of her famous tap-dancing feet on the table! 💃🐾 Thankfully, her dancing skills didn’t slow us down too much, and she was a very good girl overall.

It’s always so lovely to see the difference regular brushing at home makes. Keeping on top of brushing between appointments helps prevent matting, keeps your pup comfortable, and makes the grooming process much more enjoyable for them. ❤️

Well done today, Bon Bon! You were a pleasure as always, and I can’t wait to see you again for your next pamper session. 🐶💕

Olive came in for her groom today and what an absolute sweetheart she is! 🥰 From the moment she walked through the door, she was straight over for cuddles and fuss, making herself right at home.

After plenty of snuggles, it was time to get started, so Olive hopped into the bath for a good scrub and freshen-up. She was such a good girl and soon had her coat looking lovely and clean. Then it was onto drying, although we had to pause every now and then for a few extra cuddles because Olive wasn’t quite finished sharing the love! ❤️

Once she was all dry, it was time for her groom. Olive stood so nicely and was an absolute star throughout. The only challenge was trying to get any work done because she kept distracting me with those sweet cuddles and affectionate little moments! 🐾

She really is the loveliest girl and was an absolute pleasure to spend time with today. Looking fresh, tidy, and as adorable as ever, Olive headed home looking fabulous.

Today’s handsome boy was Ted 🐾❤️

Ted is a rescue boy who can be quite nervous, and due to some personal circumstances, he hadn’t been groomed for a little while. But that’s exactly what we’re here for — no judgement, just helping dogs feel comfortable, cared for, and back to their best. ✨

After taking some time for cuddles and getting to know each other, we started with a pre-cut to remove all that excess coat. Ted was such a good boy and took it all in his stride. Once we’d got the bulk off, it was bath time! 🛁 We gave him a good scrub with our lovely Peanut & Pickle shampoo, leaving him feeling fresh, clean, and smelling amazing.

Next came drying, which Ted was a little unsure about at first. Being a nervous boy, it can all feel a bit overwhelming, but with plenty of reassurance, cuddles, and patience, he soon relaxed and we got him nice and dry. ❤️

Then it was onto his haircut! Ted continued to be such a superstar. He treated me to a little bit of tap dancing on the grooming table along the way 💃🐶, but overall he was incredibly well-behaved and tried his absolute best throughout the whole process.

I am so proud of how well Ted did today, especially considering how nervous he can be. Seeing him leave feeling lighter, cleaner, and more comfortable makes it all worthwhile. ✂️✨

A huge thank you to Ted’s owner as well, who surprised me with some beautiful flowers, chocolates, and a lovely card. Your kindness was so appreciated and completely made my day. 💐🍫❤️

Looks like Oscar was a little jealous after seeing all the fuss his sister Poppy got at her pamper session the other week, so today it was his turn for some well-deserved spa treatment! 🐾💙

We started off with a nice warm bath, and Oscar was such a good boy from the very beginning. After getting squeaky clean, it was time for drying, which he handled like a superstar. In fact, he was so relaxed that he even had a little lie down during the process! 🥰

Then it was onto his groom. Oscar’s owners love his signature look – a short body, dramatic long legs, and a gorgeous teddy bear face – and he sat so patiently while we worked our magic. Well… “sat” might be stretching it a bit, as Oscar seemed determined to spend most of the groom lying down and getting comfy! 😂

Despite wanting a nap throughout the appointment, he was an absolute gentleman and did so well from start to finish. He left looking super smart, fluffy, and ready to show off his fresh new look.

Well done, Oscar! It was lovely having you in today. You and your sister Poppy are always welcome back for cuddles, pampering, and plenty more spa days anytime! ❤️🐾

Rosie was in the salon today, and honestly, she might just be one of the sweetest girls ever! 💕 The moment she walked through the door, she went straight in for belly rubs and cuddles, which is always the perfect way to start a grooming session.

After plenty of fuss and affection, we headed off for her bath. Rosie was such a good girl and stood beautifully while she got all fresh and clean. Next came the dryer, and although she was a little nervous at first, with lots of reassurance, gentle encouragement, and even more cuddles, she soon realised there was nothing to worry about. 🥰

Once she was all clean, dry, and fluffy, it was time for her trim. Her owner likes to keep her on the shorter side, so that’s exactly what we did. Rosie was an absolute star throughout and stood so nicely while she got her fresh new look. By the end, she looked absolutely amazing and ready to show off her makeover! ✂️✨

Then came the photos… or at least that was the plan! Instead, Rosie decided she was done being a model and turned into the biggest baby, snuggling straight into my arms for cuddles. Honestly, I can’t think of a better way to finish a groom than with a happy dog curled up for a cuddle. ❤️

Well done, Rosie, you gorgeous girl. It was an absolute pleasure spending time with you today, and you’ll always be welcome back at Pods Paws! 🐾

Ava was back in the salon today, and what a lovely girl she is! 🐾💕

With the warmer weather finally here, her owners wanted a shorter, more manageable summer trim to help keep her feeling cool and comfortable.

We kicked things off with a nice relaxing bath, and Ava was good as gold from the very start. Then it was time for drying, where she continued to be an absolute superstar. I even managed to sneak in plenty of cuddles along the way because she’s just the sweetest girl! 🥰

Once she was all clean, fluffy, and dry, it was time for her haircut. Ava stood like a little pro throughout the groom and made my job so easy. She was patient, well-behaved, and an absolute pleasure to spend time with.

After her transformation, she was looking amazing—fresh, tidy, and ready for the summer sunshine! ☀️✂️ Best of all, her owners were delighted with the result.

Well done today, Ava! It was lovely having you back in the salon, and you’re always welcome at Pods Paws. Can’t wait to see you again soon! ❤️🐶
