☀️ HOT WEATHER NOTICE ☀️
With temperatures forecast to reach 32°C this week, we'd like to remind everyone that your dog's safety and wellbeing always come first.
While our salon is air-conditioned, grooming still involves the use of warm dryers and equipment. If we feel conditions are becoming too hot for a dog to be groomed safely and comfortably, we may need to reschedule appointments at short notice.
We may also recommend postponing your dog's groom if:
🐾 They would need to walk to the salon during the hottest part of the day.
🐾 They are elderly, have breathing difficulties, heart conditions, or other health concerns that make heat harder to tolerate.
🐾 They become stressed during travel or grooming and may struggle to regulate their temperature.
🐾 They show any signs of overheating before their appointment.
🐾 Their journey to and from the salon cannot be made safely in the heat.
Please remember:
🚗 Never leave dogs in vehicles, even for a few minutes.
💧 Ensure they have access to plenty of fresh water.
🌳 Walk early in the morning or later in the evening when temperatures are cooler.
🐾 Check pavements before walks – if it's too hot for your hand, it's too hot for their paws.
We know last-minute changes can be inconvenient, but we'd much rather rearrange an appointment than put a dog at risk. Thank you for your understanding and for helping us keep your dogs safe during this hot weather. Please also contact me if you feel rescheduling is necessary.
