We’re pleased to announce the arrival of our brand new Volvo EC18E, the latest addition to our fleet at Koster Contractors. Supplied by plant sales

This compact yet powerful excavator offers the performance and manoeuvrability needed to operate in tighter spaces, ideal for sites where larger machinery simply can’t access.

The EC18E will be supporting our team across a variety of projects, including:
- Small-scale landscaping works
- Digging junctions for land drainage systems
- Small water supply installations

The machine is also available to hire with an operator

We recently completed works on approximately 1 mile of track for a client in need of a cost-effective solution to deal with potholes and surface deterioration.

With budget constraints in mind, we made full use of the existing material available on site, avoiding the need for imported aggregate.

Scope of works included:
• Toothing through the existing surface to a depth of 125–150mm to break up material and eliminate potholes
• Redistributing and grading the material to achieve correct levels
• Recompacting the track to provide a solid surface

A simple but effective method to breathe new life into a well-used track.

🚜🌾🐎 We recently completed a land clearance project for an equestrian property in Oxfordshire, helping our client to reclaim a field that has been previously overrun with brambles, nettles and other invasive weeds for years.

The brambles in some areas had grown to nearly 7ft tall making the field unusable for equestrian use.

Our approach:
• Remove brambles, fallen trees and heavy overgrowth with excavator. ✅

• Flail mulched remaining vegetation. ✅

• Toothed through surface to remove unwanted roots. ✅

• Sprayed off the area with a total herbicide ✅

The area is now fully prepared for cultivation, seeding and fencing.

We’re proud to have provided a practical, efficient solution to restore the land for future equestrian use.
