Experienced horseman Harry Whittington is one of the racing industry’s rising stars. Based at Hill Barn Stables the team has already seen significant success both in a number of Graded races as well as the Cheltenham Festival. Blessed with a dedicated team which has grown from a leading pre-training facility to a fledgling licensed yard. Harry along with wife and business partner Alice, are continually looking to improve and build on the fantastic facilities they already offer at Hill Barn Stables. Pre-training is all about building the right foundations. Alongside bringing young horses through our well refined system, we are also ideally positioned to bring older horses back into work ahead of their season.

Our deep sand gallop is key to this process, helping to develop core fitness and strength.

Saint Calvados lines up in the Hunters’ Chase at Carlisle Racecourse this afternoon (due off at 5.10) for David Maxwell.

Our first runner under rules for almost 2yrs. It has been a huge honour to have our old friend back in the yard and he is now thriving in his life on the hunting field and running in point to points.

A fabulous horse who owes us nothing but it would be magic if he were able to place today and make it to the Aintree Racecourse Foxhunters 🤞🏇🌈
