Combebow Poultry A small family smallholding in Devon, rearing traditional and rare breeds of poultry, turkeys, ducks

A traditional Devon small holding with over 35 years experience of rearing traditional and rare breeds of poultry and waterfowl. Originally "Lodge Poultry" of South Devon, Sam moved to West Devon in 1999 and Combebow Poultry became the new name. Finally moving to their new home, actually at Combebow farm in 2021. Our
birds enjoy fresh air everyday and are raised on an organically managed pasture

where we add herbs and traditional plants to the diet and grazing, to enhance naturally good health. Birds are kept in friendly groups and put into unrelated breeding groups during the summer, where they can enjoy a peaceful lifestyle and lots of fresh air.

In order to comply with the current housing measure that’s been brought in today, we have elected to not have any eggs or birds available for sale or leaving the holding, and to cull out our meat birds to bring the number to below 50 birds. This allows them to still free range. We prefer quality of life for the greater flock, to profits from eggs.

We are delighted to say that the west Devon surveillance zone for AI is now lifted and we are able to sell birds and eggs again. If those who have been patiently waiting for their birds could get in touch we can hopefully get your birds off to their new homes this week.

Please be aware there is still a 10km avian influenza surveillance zone in place…….birds still cannot be moved on or off...
